Picanto sales are still nothing and is clearly outnumbered by Suzukis.

The reason is same. Picanto is a small car with a big price tag, the same case with Stonic and 2008.

I guess, tiggo 4 is in the market. Yesterday i went to try 2008, to be honest..I was not impressed by the drive. Currently we have Elantra, Cultus and Revo at home, 2008's drive is no where near Elantra's drive, even cultus's drive felt kind of stable ( i could be wrong, its just how i felt). The other thing which bothered me that the info display screen is obscured by the steering, you cannot bring up the steering by adjustment. Its kind of too low. The other thing which i didnt like was the rear view,veryyyyy narrow. The rest was perfect, specially the interior, you really get a feel of sitting in something futuristic.

Just took test drive today from karachi macca dealership. Believe me or not, it was hell responsive and pick was so soo great. However, I am bit concerned about rear passenger seating space. Currently, I have passo 18/21 and planning to upgrade my vehicle. 2008 has everything i am looking for but back seating capacity hurts.

Used sportage alpha is also good option in 50-53 price bracket but not sure.

Can anyone tell if it's worth buying 2008 over alpha?

In my opinion - you shouldn't even look towards Alpha.

How much of the time do you have 3 people sitting in the back. I've sat in sportage backseat with 2 other grown men - and it was not spacious really.

In the 2008 I've also had 3 people sitting in the back. And anytime I offer to take them in our civic x thinking it's slightly more spacious at the back - they've wanted to sit in the 2008. They just like it that much.

I think how you feel about a car on a subjective level matters. I'm excited about driving around in the 2008 everytime. I wasn't excited about a sportage. But that's how I think.

Sir take the extra pain but get Allure. Too much difference and more than the price difference actually. 2008 is far superior than sportage in drive

Sir allure and active has almost 10 lacs difference. Unfortunately, I don't have the extra budget but i think it'll be a great buy in 51 lacs including WHT + Registration cost. No other vehicle is offering such features in this price range (except glory 580).

Got delivery of Allure in white 2 days ago. God, this car is awesome. So many features that were not even advertised:

All 4 windows are one touch
You can change color of instrument panel (not ambient lighting)
Automatic headlight dipping
Key-less and touch-less entry / exit (You just come close to the car and it will automatically lock / unlock doors and trunk. You can disable this feature as well)
Safety radar will detect speed limit signs and display it on the instrument panel

Acceleration is mind-blowing. Can beat any PKDM car (apart from Sorento V6).
Seating is padded so much better than any seats I have sat on. Build quality is second to none.

I am very happy I didn't go with Civic RS / Elantra or any other car in 6 million bracket. Alhamdulilah. The only down-side is it's size given the price but it's perfect for city driving and cruising with 4 people.

been driving mine for about a month... no complains at all.
Cabin space I feel is a bit compromised but its a lovely car no doubt.

I have started to see this car pop up on Lahori roads now. Most of them in white, then orange.
The more I drive it, the more I am convinced this was the right choice. The view of the hood from driving position gives a large American vehicle vibe. The engine and dual exhaust sound is so much better than the drone and groan of Sportage (I own a Sportage too so I can bash it as much as I want ).

I like it so much so that I have requested my wife to take the Sportage and let me daily drive the 2008.
