i disagree. i just sold my 2017 civic (via pakwheels ad) and it sold atleast 1.5 lac above the 2017 grande. yes, if you are located offraod or have your corolla with some corporation or beign used as business support then it will make sense.
its the same debate people used to do when city got traction in 2007. people used to make same debate about robustness of 1.3 xli against city. no same arguments is for elantra vs corolla debate.
just the very idea that they havent changed the model since 8 years; they should be banned. normally you have to use a sedan for like for 3-5 years and then upgrade, then what the fuss about robustness? even if you sell 100k less, whats the big deal in comparison to the ride quality and aesthetics. didnt you buy red civic? didn you think of resale? but you preffered aesthetics rite?
and about premium; i cancelled by Feb prebooked civic (expected in July) because i am not a hypocrite. I criticized honda, didnt plan on premium and cancelled my booking. This nation need to stand up to ethics and call spade a spade. i truly beleive by 2023 the premium culture will become very less as more car models will be available and corolla craze will further die down
