Well, it's much more reliable than Kia or Hyundai for that matter. Much more sales than Kia too in EU.

And, looks like an absolute beast, in a good way.

Will sell like hot cakes if priced correctly.

Yes, but I have witnessed them collecting dust in workshops because of spare unavailability and very bad electronics.
However I have heard that they have overcome some of their issues.
Priced around grande it might do fine.
Interestingly my brother last year was about to change his ride in Australia. He was looking at the CX5 akera , I told him that he should also look at the 3008 as it's pretty good looking . He literally laughed at it thinking I was joking as no one would give a sincere advice to buy a Peugeot.

The wheels show that this test unit is at least the 'Allure' trim. Hopefully we don't get a completely barebones version when it comes as CKD.

Taking the example of Australia, their Peugeot 2008 ranges between AUD 34,990 and 43,990 while Seltos ranges between AUD 27,220 and 41,700. (Not an apples to apples comparison but it does give an idea of their pricing)

Maybe KLM wanted to leverage 2008's smaller 1200cc displacement compared to 1600cc Seltos in order to price it competitively, who knows.
