After the events of the last few days can safely say no french cars are coming to pakistan any time soon
Eagerly waiting for the launch. But recent events are pointing towards a possible delay or total scraping of the launch.
I had a conversation with one of KIA motors dealership as they are also investing in separate dealership of Peugeot that KLM is not planning to launch CERATO because its costing has reached to the price of Elantra and Grande instead they are working on KIA STONIC and PEUGEOT 2008 with price range near to City and Yaris becuase they want to capture the customer of these 2 cars with the Cross over SUV and these 2 cars are expectes to be launch between July 2021to Aug 2021.Peugeot will have its own dealerships and service center and will be manufactures locally .Lets hope so his words come out be true. I personally like the peugeot 2008 but had my concerns about the french blasphemy recently as they will do it again after some time
Stonic in my view is not a crossover, its barely bigger than Rio itself in dimensions and resemble a hatchback more than anything. Peugeot would be a risky investment, something you have already shed light on.
Cerato at a price point of Altis 1.6 is definitely gonna be a winner. They should give it a shot, the latest K3 looks a stunner IMHO.
If somehow peugeot 2008 GT line the fully optional one comes it will rip away sportage MG HS and Tucson feature and design wise but we can only see the Allure version which is imported in Pakistan
Yup cerato should be between price of altis 1.6 but KLM was planning to launch 2 different version of Cerato which were 1.8 and 2.0 so the price was definately hit to 3.7M to 4.2 M
Peugeot will be risky due to politicial geography wise but they are working on fully local production with all spare parts availability as lucky motor has korean standard fully equipped production unit so one can think of a secure investment too

There's no 1.8, Cerato is only offered with 1.6 and 2.0 engine options. It definitely could have been launched at >3.5 mil.
There is no 1.8 engine in Hyundai/KIA line up. Cerato comes with 1.6 and 2.0 engine options along with 1.6 turbo
Carrefour is running fine here. No issues.

The cuv is now confirmed as per KLM COO, can you pls share its known issues and other items to watch out for potential customers.

Realy interested in 2008....If we get top 2 tiers of this car at civic grande pricing many would opt for it including me....Seems nice and reviews aren't bad either....Just waiting for when it happens
I have booked x70 but wait time is sooo soo long I will have to wait till april 22 or may be more.... So if i get a chance to jump ships i would rather jump in Peugeot 2008 than kia sportage alpha/mg zs for similar pricing....
