not quite really - the gadget is for old fashion'd ppl - i got my mom one of these - though she got a skype enable nokia but she likes it this way plus she always wanted a nicer cordless - plus was the skype.
I have the older model 8441 - and i dont bother running my skype the whole time in my mobile.
so the sale is difficult but not impossible.
i also have bt hub tried a lot to reg it with sip account but ports are blocked

What doesnt work? Skype? I talk daily to my mom on Skype and she talks daily to her daughter (in Aus) on skype - so what doest that make it then - what ports???
I have asked my bro - we use ptcl broadband and it works like a charm -May be you'r trying to say something else here?
sip is different.. and skype is different.. i suppose.. sip is something u r not suppose to use just like that.. u need to have proper licensing and permission from pta.. for skype u do whatever u want..

btw can this cordless also take calls from regular landline PTCL lets say..
Mobile phones are connected via Wifi for Skype calls while this phone is connected via Radio waves. Radio waves are much stable IMO. I am not sure though !
