Photosun TINTS

So I was at this Mughal Autos on Montgomery Road today, early morning and the shop owner told me that they have photo-sun tints.

The cost he said would be 1300 for the paper, and 200 labor charges.

I've tried searching the internet, but can't find anything on photosun tint paper for cars, which makes me think if it is for real, or just a selling stunt.

Anyone here experienced them, please share your thoughts/results/feedback.

Due to the current temperatures, I honestly need tints, but don't want them to disturb my night driving.

this is very good for your car i have used on may car many times good go and get it no problem from police to heat control be kerta ha and its Japanese

Bango dont just share the name explain its purpose ? its transparent film? uv protection or something?

Nope, no protection guaranteed by the shopkeeper.

It just works like the photosun glasses - in sunlight, they darken. In no sunlight, they're clear and 100% transparent.

The guy had it on his Santro, he said he had never been stopped in the last couple of years. He said it was Japanese, hence costs more.

I was hoping to find someone who has actually tried it and may give any positive/negative feedback.

The Mughal Autos guy is a honest guy and you can trust him. Obviously as with everyone in Pakistan, don't expect the product to perform exactly as he says but yes it will serve the purpose.

It was rolled and gave a very light brown shade. His Santro was parked outside but it was cloudy and the tints seemed to be very very light, like 90%.

coz 90% black/brown tints are very dark!

Sarosh - the percentage in reference to tints is always the percentage of visibility. 90% means 90% visibility.

And you're not the first to mention the rip off part.

Sarosh - the percentage in reference to tints is always the percentage of visibility. 90% means 90% visibility.

I think you're wrong here. Cuz what we call "0 tint" should be called as 100% tints if your statement is followed. No?

Panic that's what I know, 100 percent are clear transparent. Similarly, zero percent = opaque. If that's not the case, I'll stand corrected.

we normally call jet black tints as 100 percent....

there are four main grades of glass tinting, indicating how much light is allowed to pass through. Fifty percent tint allows half of the light to pass through, which is still more than enough for full visibility. Thirty percent is much darker, but still allows visibility. Twenty percent makes the window difficult to see through on either side, but shapes can still be seen fairly clearly. Five percent is the darkest tint available, and is also known as limo tint. At a 5% tint, visibility from the high-light side, usually the outside, is virtually none, while those on the low-light side can see the outside with relative clarity.

tints are available in 25% 50% and 100% jet black the higher the percentage the higher the colour of the tint paper
