Arif habib offer me an online trading service portal, I think this is also a broker panel, should I talk with them to open an account with them in order not to go to CDC but to Arif Habib to trade with my shares.

I don't know, may it work, but will not be safe. CDC is your account and it is safe, broker can't sell at his own ..

Thanks for detail information, CDC is only UBL as I think and rest other are having their own services.

No - UBL is only offering electronic submission of IPO Forms instead of physical one. Rest shares are physical or electronic as per customer choice ..

yeh I have choosen physical shares, can you let me know differece between them.

Take time and read website in nutshell "CDC is the sole entity handling the electronic (paperless) settlement of transactions carried out at all three stock exchanges of the country. Through efficient functioning of CDC, all the market settlement is in book entry form."

In other words, they are keeping your electronic shares. If you opt for electronic shares, other than physical, you need a CDC account. Likewise you need a bank account for keeping your money and making transaction. Similarly, for keeping share you need CDC account. For trading you need Broker Account.

1. As I already suggested please check your self and their tariff - One of my friend has good experience with AKD.
2. For trading or buy more shares from market, yes.
3. When you open account with Broker, a CDC Sub Account is must.
4. CDC is independent institution, Arif Habib will having their broker account and you will be given separate sub account.

Thanks a lot, that is why yesterday I have submitted my documents to CDC they have asked me to submit forms also for sub account. Means CDC will only take care of my paperless transaction like any bank do, and for further trading I need to open an account to do business.

I feel better to just have an account with CDC without having any sub account coz I am not in favour to do on-line trading , I will keep shares with me for a certain time period and get them cash once there is an urgent requirement.

coz do trading on-line this is a daily business to get involve in share market activity which is time consuming.

I have got yesterday 500 shares of it, coz closing date was 31st January and as per market response was massive.

My view: there are good options in the packaging segments at a significant discount to Roshan Packages.

The strike price for roshan was ~rs.80. So you bought just ~rs.40,000 worth of shares? Wasn't there a minimum amount requirement of ~rs.1,000,000 for buying at IPO?

The initial offering is for High Net Worth individuals where there is a threshold of one million. This is where the strike price is determined. Second public offering is to general public at the determined strike price in lots of 500 shares.

Aoa Guys,

I just applied in UBL EIPO for Ittefaq Foundaries using their Net Banking Service.

I tried calling thier support to inquire about the status of share allotment but they don't have any information about it.

EIPO was on 9th June. How long does it usually take for allotment after purchase.eipo?
Also I only have UBL account (no CDC account), will I be able to sell those back if needed through my net banking account?
