Brothers I own a honda city 2007 with 130K on meter. Recently I am feeling a drop in pick especially in low gears. Someone told me that Cat needs to be cleaned. Can you please guide which is the best workshop in Islamabad for this purpose. I dont want to get caught by inexperienced mechanics bcaz I have heard that they sometimes ruin the cat altogether. Honda Classics is too expensive to considerplease guide
I would suggest Motor Clean.They will charge 2,000-3,000 PKR for the job, but at least, they won't damage the Catalytic Converter (like other mechanics, who use acids, etc.).They also do not remove Catalytic Converter for Cleaning.
I'd recommend only Honda centre. I've had the cat con cleaned on my 2013 Civic and 2007 Civic hybrid cleaned by Honda centre every 40k kms and their charges are nominal, about 3k Rs. At least they take responsibility if they break something.
Use liquimoly cat system cleaner, it has been effective remedy and cheap too.
Get it removed from a good exhaust repair guy. Mix 20% toilet cleaning acid and 80% water and below are the result on my 2007 city. Total expense 1000 to 1500.Motor clean is another good option.
I have one with almost 280,000 kms on it and cat has never been cleaned. Is it necessary to get it cleaned? I just feel that pick decreases after 2nd gear and onwards (after about 100 KMhr). It also does not go any faster than 160 KMhr even without AC etc.

do it yur self. is car was cnged means cng lagi hey khabhi. if yes then check MAP signal wire. theeir is a joint in that wire change that joint
Never on CNG.. has always run on petrol.
theen clean MAP with patrol . dip it in petrol shake wwell and fit it
My rough guess is: 8-15,000 PKR (Huge margin). But you will have to visit market for that and it may defiitely be costly, since City 2007 is almost 12 years old model now. Just to give idea; Catalytic Converter for 1KR-FE for Vitz, Passo / Boon costs around 8-10,000 PKR and they all are current market ki cars
18k full silencer with cat in shershah
18K is too much for second hand catalytic converter specially for a 2006 city
