I have 1994 Toyota Corolla automatic transmission. Recently, I faced problem with high Engine noise and issue with pick up. A mechanic suggested me that it's because of the gear oil, engine is in power and the gear is not supportive, therefore, you should change the gear oil. I did as he said but it still has the same problem. Another mechanic came up with a solution that oil filter needs to be changed which I did, however the issue is still there.
Mind you that the engine oil is at the same level and is not reduced as I check it regularly.
I used to drive this car a speed of 140-160km/hour but now it hardly gets to 100km/h.
Can anyone tell me what's the problem or suggest any good mechanic in rawalpindi/Islamabad?
I am tired of those mechanics who work on hit and trial basis.
