Here are two Lotus Evora test mules. The car's were driven from Georgia to California with stops at some Lotus dealers along the way. I spoke with Matt Becker, Lotus' executive engineer of vehicle dynamics, for a while and it was great to finally meet someone that I admire for their driving skills. I mentioned the spot on ride and handling balance of the '88 Esprit Turbo and Matt said that the Evora will have similar ride and handling. From what I was told, Lotus isn't working on the new Esprit just yet and all efforts are currently focused towards the Evora. I also got to sit inside the Evora, the interior is nicely finished and is a nice step up from the Elise/Exige. Ingress and egress are also a little better than the Elise/Exige but still not as good as I had hoped, the Tesla is much easier to get in and out of. Overall the car looks much better in person.
