Dear Friends

We friends r planning 1 night trip to Pir Chinasi, near Muzaffarabad. I hav been there 3 years back and as far as i remember there was no place to stay. If anyone has recently traveled there, can pl tell me is there any mid-class or at least driver hotel to stay at top or a few km down .
Although we hav camping gear and good experience but for just 1 night we dont want to carry all that stuff.

Also can anyone tell me the road condition and driving time from Muzaffarabad. We will b InshaAllah travelling in Prado and Kia sportage.

i saw this picture on google.. saran rest house in pir chinasi.. dont know any detail about it but at least there is a place to stay

Yes the above information is correct. Its Saran guest house located in quite close vicinity of Pir Chinasi. I have stayed there twice. Beautiful views of the valley below. You need prior booking to stay there. You need to contact AJK Tourism depertment in Muzaffarabad at 05822-921158 and 0300-5219896 (Pirzada Irshad Ahmed, Director).

Thanks for sharing, can u tell me is there any other place apart from that rest house whose pics is posted by a member, as that resthouse is fully booked, so hav u seen any other mid or low class hotel there.

rest house runners lie a lot to accomodate vips.... try getting it booked by some influencial or high ranked officer or MNA.. it will take no time!

bro asad, this was my first trip, and a very fact one, v stayed for only half an hour on top, and goes back, it was a off season, so there was hardly anybody there to consult or ask anything, howveer there were soem army residence on the top, dont know they might be available for public or not, apart i have not seen any other biulding adjacent to the shrine..........

There is also a private guest house in Pir chinasi where u can get accomodation, but its very nyc if u go to Pir Asimaar after Pir chinasi and do camping there, as we did last summer. That will be a great experience for u guys..

its having more untouched natural beauty dn pir chinasi, it will take u 4 hours walking track from pir chinasi to pir asimaar. But i am dam sure u will love that place...

I am also planning to visit pir chanasi this weekend. Got booking at Saran guest house for rs 1600 per room:( whereas rates mentioned on the ajk tourism website is 850 per room. On enquiry the booking officer (mr. Zia ur rehman) told that rates have been revised but website is stll to be updated

road is very good, as a small car can also reach there easily..

brother someone told me that elevation of road is quite high and hard to climb. is that true?
i have seen the climb of thandiyani and shugran, does pir chinasi road has same climb?
