Piston Rings Blown, Head Blown Need HELP!

So I drive an 86 Sunny B12 with an engine swap. The usual 1.5 twin cam i.e Ga15de. Well the problem that the engine is blown. Gives out a load of smoke and has NO power at all now. So the way I see it I have two options, first would be to get the engine overhauled, second would be to change the engine completely with the same one. I've asked my mechanic he said that engine overhaul would cost somewhere around 25k to 27k. The cost of replacing the engine is somewhere around 50k to 60k. So I want some help in making a good decision. Help would be greatly appreciated guys. I live in Rawalpindi btw

If u have the budgey to get a new engine. Then definately go for a swap if u find a very clean engine .....

Overhaulling is always better imho if done by a sensible mechanic and not some idiot

I also thought overhauling would be the economical option, but the mechanics here don't know how to properly overhaul an engine. They don't bore the head properly, leave spaces in pistons etc. Im thinking about changing the engine

I'd suggest that you talk to a few mechanics before making a decision.

Getting an overhaul can work really well if done right. You will have to see if boring the cylinders and getting in sleeves of OEM size is an option because in my experience it is the best thing that can happen (again, if done right).

Let me know if you need a second or third opinion from mechanics other than who you know.
