PKDM Suzuki Alto 660cc OBD data display

As you guys know that PKDM Suzuki Alto 660cc comes with minimal options which includes no RPM meter.

even for novice petrolheads RPM display has a special requirement and appeal.

there is option to install after market RPM meter but to me it looks kinda odd.

another work around is to extract data from OBD and diplay it on the android head unit.

so i tried it out. used ELM327 ver 1.5 thanks to @mohsin212 and got OBD data using SZ viewer app.

now the issue it the app supports data display in figures instead of graphics which kinda looks odd and hard to read.

if anyone can help to find a suitable app which can display atleast RPM in traditional meter shape it would be of great help.

torque pro is okay, but it needs a command/string to work with ELM327, unfortunately i dont have that string usefull for Alto.

Can bus shield can also take direct input from can high and low.
Basic codes are available on net.
Rest you can change the pid according to the data you need.

Can you try torque free version first? And see if it works...
Out of curiosity i tried it on zs and it worked flawlessly
No code/string was needed.
My alto isnt at home will give it a try tonight.

if u check the video, SZ is already connected and showing OBD data, but as u know it does not have graphical interface.

AH Issue is now resolved. Found the root cause and that was B1S1 O2 faulty sensor. it had to read in between 0.1 to 0.9, while it rarely go beyond 0.2. So replaced the O2 sensor (cost 2nd hand around 2K) and voila!!

Wailaikum Assalam. I did design a product for my ex-company. But alto was never on the list. And I never got my hands on one properly, either. Though I could make one easily afterwards.
