Plane ticket purchase! website or travel agent?

I want to know which is cheaper method in your experience for buying plane tickets e.g. Emirates, Qatar Airways etc. Should we buy tickets directly from an airline's website or consult some travel agent? Any tips from your own experience ?

On IOS search for hopper. Select travel dates and view suggestion for cheaper airports,air lines,stop overs etc.

Go for option which is cheaper. I just purchased emirates ticket from travel agent which was 2,000/- expensive than emirates online ticket price. I prefered to spend 2,000/- extra because that is non refundable ticket and I have to visit Singapore in March and I applied for visa through same travel agent.

In September I bought Airasia ticket online, not face any issue with it either.

Emirates has advantage to book online and pay either in Allied bank or in their office without extra charges.

Buy online. Ticket agents will soon become obsolete. You can find good deals online. I only once used an agent when I had to travel on a short notice and no flights were available. He managed to find a very long-winded connection for me.

Travel agents play cheap tricks and they hide the conditions for which the tickets are cheaper. Once I bought a return ticket to Dubai for one of my family member who stayed in dubai for over 4 month and the travel agent didn't mention that the validity is for 4 months only; it expired and we had to buy a new single ticket from Dubai to Karachi. In another incident travel agent mentioned that the baggage allowance is 30 kg and at the airport AirBlue said only 20 kg is allowed; had to pay for the 10 kg. That was the last day I bought tickets through agents, Pakistanis are super fraud so yes that happens.

Well what i would say is plan your trip buy tickets online months before travel to get good rates, book rooms vai booking.com plan your visit to any place at your terms. But yes you need to have a Card with a good limit to do so.
