Planing trip to swat and need help,assistance?

depends upon your departure from islamabad and arrival at swat and traveling mode?? kindly mention complete details

Departure from ISB 10 am, want to spend a night somewhere on the way to Kalam, will be traveling in my own ride, SUV. 2 nights is Kalam and on the way back one night in Malam Jabba.

depends 3k to 5k you will need a bargain
4: jeep fare for boyuan village
there is nothing different over there so i would not suggest that to visit but if you wish.... fare will be almost like 3k and above
5: best hotel for stay & restaurant for breakfast/lunch/dinner in Kalam?
many are there there is no special one every one will quit happy to cook chicken karahi ,chicken tikka and what ever aasn once there were punjabi bhais who cooks punjabi dishes but now might be some one or not...
6: and last what u will recommend Itinerary for my trip? (in my mind is that we will directly reach kalam & stay there for two nights,first day visit boyan village & track to boyan meadow & second day to mohodand lake
naveed bhai if you can move after a 10 hr drive or travel waiting next almost 5 hr direct drive to kalam so its up to you if you can i repeat if you can.

Please reply my questions keeping in view that i had been never before there
nothing to worry if you had never been here keep your mind clear here is nothing to worry full protection and safety .this is the safest place in pakistan now.just keep your c.n.i.c's with you .wish a marvelous trip

i am planning a tour to swat with my family, please guide me about 4 days plans...

1-what are current hotel rates in behrain and kalam....

2-should i need prior booking for hotels ... or just go and find and good hotel.

3- what will be the cost per night hotel stays.

4- i have 5 days, don't want to make a trip hectic, what locations should not be missed.

5- where should be the base stay, behrain or kalam..??

6 - what are the shopping attractions in swat ? as wife and my mohter are going with me.

7 - I am taking me car ( corolla-2011 ), m not afraid of driving , so where should i take my car or where should i take jeep..

ok you will reach mingora at 2:30 or 3pm max.if you wanna stay near city and river you can choice fizaghat .or you can move to miandam you can spend a night or can stay at madyan or behrain .madyan behrain are in midway while for miandam you will take a turn at fateh poor.and at malam jabba there might be no reasonable place to stay as well

Thanx alot Saqib bhai for ur detailed reply..i am still confused my first day as i already told u that i will be depart from Lhr @ 9.00 p.m on 11th June,15 & i will be at Mingora aprox 6 to 7a.m on 12th June,15 so where should i go further?
Option 1: continue my journey towards Kalam & reach there near about 11 to 12 a.m & then explore bouyan village & other places surrounding of Kalam & second day for Mahodand
Option 2: visit places nearby Mingora like fizza ghatt,etc & then move to kalam in the evening & second day for Mahodand.

Please guide me which option is better & places which i can visit on 12th June,15.

naveed bhi i will go for option one coz in option 2 what will you visit at early morning so if you don't have any plan to stay at mingora than day 1 is a wast so i would suggest to continue to kalam and its surroundings and when you back from kalam entertain mingora on that concern day.

or you can plan like this as you reach to mingora on 12 after break fast go to marghazar and you will be back in mingora almost in noon move on strait to malam jabba apprx 2.30 hr drive from mingora.after visiting malam jabba move on to kalam by night you will be at kalam and you will enjoy these places as well in a single day.....

mine pleasure naveed bhai .on same day reaching kalam you can go for ushu .jungle and kalam bazar river side and an old historical mosque there.well if you wanna visit boyun i have no problem with that if you have time space you can plan that.

Saqib bhai thank you for taking the time out and helping lots of people with your thread, very accurate and much needed info you have provided, i am going to Naran in a few days, have been there 3-4 times so no worries, this time am planing to also cover swat side on my way back, i checked there is a route to from mansehra to mingora via basham, can u please tell me about the road condition and what places to visit on my way to mingora, ill probubly have around 2-3 days to reach back Lahore with starting point mansehra around 1-2 pm (since ill probable be leaving from naran early morning the same day). we are around 8-9 guys on 2 cars a honda city:-! and a corolla both 2011, kindly guide me if i should take this route or not and places on the way, really appreciate your effort,

Hi Saqib,

I am planning a family trip to Sawat valley in coming Eid Holidays and need your valuable inputs regarding the plan
The main purpose of the plan is to get out of this Hot weather at karachi, so a Chill-Factor is a must have! Besides, we are looking for a relaxed trip so are not looking for Hara Hurii (too many places in a day).

The trip would be around 12 days and we are 12 members (10 Adults & 2 Kids). Please see the rough plan of the trip and give your comments how can it be made better.

Day 1- Leave Karachi by Train - Taizgam

Day 2- Reach Pindi around 8 pm and night stay @ RWP.

Day 3- Leave RWP after breakfast by Daeewo and reach Mingora. Take local transport till Behrain and night stay.

Day 4- Leave Behrain for Kalam & night stay @ Kalam.

Day 5- Visit Gibral and Atror back to Kalam for night stay.

Day 6- Visit Matiltan and Mahudand back to kalam for night stay.

Day 7- Leave Kalam early in the morning and go to M.Jabba for night stay (lunch @ Madyan "Trout Farm" on the way)

Day 8- Leave M.J around 12pm and head back to Muree/Nathia Gali for night stay ( on the way visit Marghazar / Saidu Shraif )

Day 9- spend a day in Muree/Nathia Gali stay in Muree/Nathia Gali

Day 10- Visit ISB and night stay @ Pindi

Day 11- Leave RWP by Taizgam

Day 12 - Reach KHI

Please give your recommendations about the sequence of places and no. days stay on different places. Also mention if any worth seeing place is not mention.

AA Saqib, I hope you'll be good there. What will be the Rush condition and crowd on 5th day of Eid as I am planning to leave on 4th eid day in night? I am planning to go to Miandam directly and then next day malam jabba and then Kalam. We are traveling in Hiroof 13 seater with the family. What do you suggest, is it fine to come in those days with family?
