Yaar I have a beretta but am not risking it in these days in Karachi. Don't need it. But thanks for the info. Oh and yes the highway code book is a good info as I was not aware of it and idiots in sindh would have asked me for it and I would have said what the hell is that. I shall be getting that book from the f-8 post office if they have any with them or hunt it down in the whole of islamabad. I will keep a check on the sugar levels, thanks for the detailed info. Have also made an authority letter as the ride is yet to be transferred on my name.

If u r traveling alone keep a licensed 9mm or ak47 with u and yes if you got stamina you can do it in a day. I have been doing it. Leaving Karachi at dawn and touching dera ismail khan at dusk. Ride was old shape 1.8 altis.
Keep the car papers complete. If car is not on your name get an auth letter from the owner. Get a copy of Highway code book. Loads of Juices n eatables containing high amount of sugar content as u ll need em a lot. Chocolates is the best source. During driving sugar level drops drastically so keep a constant flow of liquid n solid sugar intake.

Sorry bros... im in a hurry.. couldnt read all your forum... But wanted to advice you on the road... I traveled last year same month from Islamabad to Karachi. Best time to depart is 3pm from islamabad..Reason is you will find all the villagers sleeping during evening timings and the roads would be clear for you.. Route should be, Islamabad - Pindi Bhatian - Jhang - Khanewal - Lodhran - Bahawalpur - Rahim Yar Khan - Sukkur - Hyderabad - Karachi...

Thank you for all your help bro. I was born in Karachi and have lived there for 9 years so i know every nook and cranny of that place. Its just that I havent made this journey ever before so starting a topic really helped me such as yourself as well. Thank you for your help. As soon as I'm near Hyderabad I should be able to find my way as I used to go to Hyderabad alot from Karachi when I was living there.

Thanks alot bro. There are more than two people who have asked me to take the route you have mentioned but others have asked me to not go off N-5 whether it is out of Danger on other roads at night time or because of bad roads I dont know. But I think Ill take this small shortcut from Behra and then head down and then hit the N-5.

Bro I shall be staying in Defence with a friend there. I have called PTDC and they have given me all the numbers of their places in Bhawalpur and RYK. Those are the only two places I will stay over. Thank you for the detailed info regarding the rooms on the pumps. This is exactly what I wanted from this forum from people who had travelled before and something which one does not know easily about the route and what is available and what is not. Cheers !

2. drive from ISL to RahimYar Khan just 50km before SadaqaAbad (one day 14 hours drive) why not Sadaqabad because you will get nice hotel to stay in RYK but not in Sadaqabad. (Hotels in RYK are near deawoo buss stand, ask any one for Deawoo buss stand and you will find hotels to stay)
3. Sleep all night
4. Next day move early morning from RYK to Karachi 10 hours drive. In sindh Drive only in day light not at night.

I have done this twice it is worth making this trip by road except for those stupid sindhi police kinda lotaray, and this stupid NOC costed me 1500 and a lot of issue on my first trip.

Try explaining this to those looters on Sindhi roads ...... with Pan in their stupid mouth .... and they will even show you the NOC to enter sindh road made for CAR. When you are in sindh you are out of logical argument.

One of the incident in Sindh with me was ... "oh you ave evrything good now give us Chaia Pani" ... really what the **** ... so I gave him 100rs and he was like no I need 1000rs or I will break the back light of your car and give you a challan ..... THIS IS SINDHI POLICE .... trust me that is the only thing which destroyed my whole road trip.

So when in sindh .... you are in sindh where there is no logic.
