Planning a trip from Islamabad to Karachi in 2 days

Guys am planning a trip from Islamabad to Karachi in 2 days. Am thinking of travelling non-stop if possible as I have driven abroad quite a few times on stretches of 16hrs straight with obvious rest for the car and myself. I am travelling in a Honda Civic 2008 and hope to do the journey in a day. I have been reading forums to try and understand the route to Karachi and the tips and tricks and what not like not stopping for the chowkis in the Sindh area where they ask for money.

I have driven alot in Pakistan but this is going to be a first to travel from almost the top of the country to the southern most region. I have put new brake pads, new tyres (michelin), new air filter, new oil, new oil filter. Guys if anyone has experienced this trip, then do let me know if I am missing something. I dont intend on overspeeding but yes in times where i can pump the ride, i most definitely shall when i see no highway patrol J.K. Im not too worried about the fuel cost but i'd like to keep it under control and I know a 1.8 liter car which is a manual will eat alot but not as much as the Auto version of it.

Guys let me know if the journey is going to be done in a days time as Muharram is falling on the Saturday and Sunday and wouldnt want to get into any trouble of delaying my trip by spending a night in Rahim Yar Khan. Any last min tips from people who have done this trip or from people who know someone who has done this would be appreciated. Cheers guys. Shall update the journey once I reach Karachi, in shaa Allah.

Oh and YES I am the only driver but have driven alot in Pakistan and have alot of experience of driving on single lane two way traffic roads.

Sir g driving in one shot is dangerous for Single driver
Suggestion if U r Single Driver:
Start Journey early in the morning 05:30 AM and try to reached Sadiqabad before Mughrib 05:00
Rest Thier at least 3 hrs
Again Start your Journey 8:30 Sadiqabad to Multan 04:00 am
Rest Thier Till 08: am
Again Start last Spell Multan To faisalabad and Islamabad

I was thinking of going from Islamabad at 8pm tomorrow and reach lahore by about 12 and then hit the road to Multan and reach there by 4am and then from there to Rahimyar khan and reach that place by 8am. In between the journey rest for a while, in Rahimyar khan I will find some place to sleep for about 2-3 hours and then hit the road straight to Karachi which I think is about 7 more hours depending on traffic condition. Does this sound achievable, and have you done this journey before?

I shall keep that in mind which is why I am travelling through Punjab at night and then I will travel in Sindh in daylight throughout. Which is why I will be resting maximum in Punjab areas and then wont stop for anything apart from fuel or other things in Sindh as its a risky area.
Aap ne do din main to travel kiya but national highway pe kitni speed maari? What is the maximum speed on the national highway and is there alot of police there in Punjab national highway and the Sindh National Highway?

i dont think so kay ap rahimyarkhan say 7 hrs may khi pohanch saktay hai

Non-stop will be very tough.
It takes almost 8 hours to Bahawalpur and another 12 hours till Karachi.

You need a stop over at RYK. My advice and as I have travelled alot from Khi and ISB.

ur speed mite be very limited if u r able to move at all.......

Not problem bro. I was thinking the same thing. Yes I will see if I can find some place on the national highway, thank you for telling me about the guard thing. I will most definitely use his extra services In reference to your next post, I know the limit of how fast to go, I do understand your encounter with the dumbos on the road as they have no sense of when to overtake, speed, or other things. I will see wherever it is safe to speed till about 140 I shall do that otherwise I don't want to risk the chance of an accident or something. I am a fast driver/careful driver not a rash one as well as not a stupid one

I will be leaving tomorrow, the 21st of Novermber from Islamabad, wish me luck and hopefully will update on the trip once I reach or if I can when Im resting if I have some Edge signals.

If anyone has any more pointers, please leave it on this post and I shall have a last minute look before starting my journey to Karachi.

If u r traveling alone keep a licensed 9mm or ak47 with u and yes if you got stamina you can do it in a day. I have been doing it. Leaving Karachi at dawn and touching dera ismail khan at dusk. Ride was old shape 1.8 altis.
Keep the car papers complete. If car is not on your name get an auth letter from the owner. Get a copy of Highway code book. Loads of Juices n eatables containing high amount of sugar content as u ll need em a lot. Chocolates is the best source. During driving sugar level drops drastically so keep a constant flow of liquid n solid sugar intake.
