Planning a Trip from Karachi to Multan

I am planning a trip with my family from Karachi to multan. Its my first time I will be going by road on my cultus with my family.

Kindly let me know what to take and what not to. any NOC required ?

Distance between the destinations and road conditions.

In sindh prefer to travel in daylight.

Travel time will be 16 hours... approximate.

No NOC required.

Road condition is good as a whole. 4 Lane road...

Distances on the N-5 Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukker, R.Y. Khan Bahawalpur, Multan, Lahore, Pindi, Peshwar National Highway...

Super Highway starts from Sohrab Goth, Its motorway. You can follow this road upto hyderabad... then on main N-5

Based on my experience couple of times i would recommend following:

Do check engine oil level once or twice + put coolant + do keep sufficient pertrol if you have CNG + Do not overlook any extra sound/noise + keep tyre pressures slightly lower than normal + you did not mention model; if older ask your mechanic to check all nut/bolts directly related to running of car + if your tuning is due, plz get it done it will save your overall travel cost

NO EXTRA/UNNECESSARY STOPS IN BETWEEN

START VERY EARLY MORNING, RATHER TRY TO BE NEAR HYDERABAD CLOSE TO SUNRISE

Keep sufficient water and eatables in the car

Don't drive rash; it does not buy you any extra time

Thanks for the replies above I plan to leave Khi after fajr prayers or should I leave before?.

I have a cultus 2003 Carby. I will change my engine Oil and coolant before drive and get it thoroughly checked before leaving.

the tyre pressure is 30psi in all my tires, should I keep it low ? thanks for your vaulable input @ammad4147 and @ranasherdil

i will strongly recommend that you leave even before Fajr prayer. Depending upon your tyre condition keep pressure around 28, it will make your ride smooth and road grip will also improve

I recently travelled up and down from Karachi Lahore Lilla kharian Lahore khanewal lodhran Karachi... over all trip was quite well and pleasure. from Karachi to Lahore I started journey at 0300 am from supper highway and stayed at bahawalpur due heavy fog. there are some patches under construction causing a long que of heavy vehicles around Sakrand in sind this may cause a considerable delay. at two occasions in sind excise police checked the documents mainly emphasizing on ACLC certificate.. in sind u have to travel few km on single two way road very carefully. after crossing KOTSABZIL (PUNJAB SIND BORDER) road conditions are excellent and smooth and no any unnecessary snap check by any agency. however the road between lodhran multan is uneven causing to keep reduced speed . Most important suspect I would like to share my colleagues about CNG and LPG conversion. I experienced it during recent petrol crises in Punjab. CNG kit normally installed in our cars can be used with LPG without any alteration except minor adjustment on kit by a mechanic. it takes not more than 10 Min to adjust. same cylinder can be filled with LPG or CNG...
