Dear can u please tell me do i need ACLC NOC as my car is in the name of my company but i have the authority letter. iam planning to go to lahore in June 18

I am planning for a road trip from karachi to islamabad with my wife on suzuki swift automatic model 2018..i can drive straight for 20 hours..can anyone suggest what documents should i keep in advance and equipment.

first thing you cannot reach Islamabad in single go, so much better break your journey into 2.

agar sirf app driver hain to yeh bht thaka dainy wala kaam hai.

i have done this trip multiple of time if you are travelling first time then keep below documents

Original Book (if not registered on your name then authority letter also required)
Pay token tax and Put sticker on Screen and also keep tax slip.
get some 250-500 Rs highway insurance (sindh police will ask if they stop you)
ACLC NOC (useless in punjab, sindh police will ask if they stopped you)

extra relays
tow cable

check tyres, radiator, also check oil condition.

i Left 3.30am from karachi and reached BWP 7pm and night stay at BWP

Last time traveled on auto civic 2005 model, only stopped for break fast, lunch and call of nature and one stop for refuel after sukkur.

Karachi to Hyderabad via Motorway

Hyderabad to BWP n5 road condition is good,

i went to Lahore so i take m4 from multan. 50km Track from BWP to multan is not in good condition and under construction.

Just got back from a road trip from Karachi to Khunjerab, making stops on the way.
From Karachi, M9 to Hyderabad is a beautiful drive. Around Hyderabad, road is ok but some potholes. Stick to N5 all the way. In most places it is a good surface newly tarred in many places too. I did my Karachi to Lahore drive in 15.5 hours, making 2 stops. One in Pano Aqil McDonalds for 45 minutes and the 2nd in Bahawalpur McDonalds also for 45 minutes.
Other than hitting traffic on the 2nd day of Eid between Multan and Lahore, it is a fantastic drive.
Did not get stopped by the cops at all, except for speeding by Punjab Police once and as I had my licence and ID card with me, it was a 200 rs fine to the NHA, with a printed receipt.
Do be careful of speed cameras used by the Punjab Police. They are pretty active at regular intervals especially around populated areas. I drove all the way myself but it is tiring so a 2nd driver will be useful to have a break and not lose time.

From Lahore to Islamabad, the motorway is a beautiful road, comparable to roads I have driven on around the world. There are plenty of rest stops with shops and restaurants and clean toilets. Again be aware of speeding in Punjab.

What stops did you make between lahore and khujerab?

From Lahore, we went to Muzafarabad (6 hours) for 2 nights. From there we drove up to Gilgit,(12 hours) again 2 nights. Another 4 nights in Aliabad Hunza. From Aliabad to Khunjerab is great drive as the KKH is brilliant.

On the way back, we drove from Hunza straight back to Lahore. One driver, took 17 hours with pitstops in Naran, Balakot and Islamabad.

Now no need to go Multan from Bwp, from lodhran to khanewal new double road is made,from lodhran to khanewal you have to drive maximum 15kms on single road after that about 74 kms road is constructed double, so please don't go to Multan, lodhran khanewal road will save your much time of journey...

What route were u talking about, lodhran khanewal expressway or something else. I traveled on lodhran khanewal expressway last time n those 86km were more tiring than the khi-lodhran 500km track

I have come back from Babusar on last Saturday and wasnt stopped anywhere in between but you need to keep the docs as mentioned above.. i drove Karachi to Khanewal and then from Naran to Karachi in one go.. but as you are new please plan to break journey around bhawalpur or multan or if you feel tiredness early you can also break your journey around rahim yar khan..

Roads are great overall.. there is construction work going on between lodhran to multan so you will face some diversion but i covered this in night so didnt meet much traffic..

my route was karachi > multan-khanewal motorway > chichawatni > toba tek singh > gojra motorway to all the way hazara motorway till haripur and then to abbotabad..

Yes I am talking about same, last week I came on this road on my Khyber it was so nice built up after about 15 kms from lodhran.

yeh i always skip e5 Lodhran-Khanewal road, but in april 2018 when i went to Lahore this road was under construction

Yes brother it's E-5 road, in start from lodhran to khanewal I think maximum 15 km road is single after that 15 kms totally new double road is constructed till khanewal.

have u personally traveled on E5 or heard the news first hand? cux last year the road was PITA! The road was double previously as well but the problem was the condition of the track. It was bumpy all the way upto khanewal

Asslam O Alaikum. Yes E5 BWP to Lodharan superb double newly built road it will surely save ur time. no need to go to Multan. I my self drove on this road on 19 June and then on 2 July, Infact i took my waggy till 140 Kmph on this raod . It was also my first time I left Karachi on 2nd day of Eid at 5 am and reached bahawalpur at 6 pm despite of 1.5 hrs traffic jam just before pano aqil as there was a demonstration on N5 and the road was blocked. But if u r a single driver i suggest u should stay night in bhawalpur or Rahimyar Khan.
