There are plenty of good resting locations almost every 2.5/3.0 hours. You can read my trip report which we recently did in the last week of December. For Islamabad, I would suggest staying near Bahawalpur and for that you should leave Karachi maximum by 5AM. I've seen quite a few Mehran, Khyber, and Margalla on N-5 and unless you do not put unnecessary pressure on the engine, I think the Moco won't give you any trouble. Happy planning, regards
