Salam guys, given the conditions of the roads in Karachi I'm planning on buying either of the two and request your valuable suggestions and experiences. Given my budget i have two options either i can get the new Revo zero meter or i can get a fortuner probably 2018 or 2019 diesel (around 30K driven) in the same price bracket hopefully.
Appreciate if those who have kept either of these vehicles can share their valuable experiences as I intend to keep them as a daily driver. Also i know that both these vehicles have different purposes but keeping it simple i can say that i can use the third row of seats but if the new revo drives better i can forgo the option of old fortuner. The last option is a sportage due to its very comfortable drive but i believe that's the only plus in it so therefore not too interested in that.
Thanks
Diesel fortuner driven 55k kms in three years. Great road presence, lots of torque and decent mileage in city of around 9-9.5 km/l, but those are the only positive sides to it. It's an uncomfortable vehicle to drive on longer routes and the second row seats are uncomfortable for even shorter trips. I have no experience of driving a Revo. Sportage is a great option too but you have to remember its a different category car, primarily an urban vehicle, providing much more comfort than a fortuner or a revo.
Fortuner diesel will be best choice for city commuting. Maintenance mechanical parts are available brand new.
You are welcome to buy your favorite vehicles from pakwheels.com investor's lot ready delivery from dealerships available on premium price
I would advise for Sportage
This is solely for comfort only.
As both Revo and Fortuner are based on same platform and similar suspension.
Only suitable for carpeted roads .
If you want to have vehicle for off road then get Revo
Thanks alot, im daily driving an altis and the leather seats are uncomfortable to say the least. Fortuner also has somewhat similar seats so if you're saying it can be uncomfortable ill probably have to rethink the options. I don't know if they're better or worse as compared to the corolla. I have found Prado & LC (fabric seats) decent even for long routes though.
Not only due to leather seats but due to the suspension setup of leaf springs as Fortuner is also based on Hilux. I think you have to test drive it in order to determine the comfort for your own use as it depends on person to person. I've experienced 2017 Revo 3.0D rear seats and they were uncomfortable as well. Don't know how Fortuner will perform but alot of people have complained about comfort on long or even short journeys.Sportage on the other hand is very comfortable, Prado and LC is miles ahead of fortuner in terms of comfort.
it's not only the seats, but the stiff suspension set up as well. Double wishbone in the front. Four link coil spring in the rear. If road presence matters more and you are willing to completely forgo ride comfort, go for a Fortuner Sigma; its tough as nuts and will last you many years. If ride comfort with all the bells and whistles is important for you, buy any cross over. The market is flooded with choices.
The fortuner has coils in the rear not leaf springs
