Planning to buy Toyota Crown Royal Saloon (NEED HELP)

The story starts from searchinga good comfy car for myself when my uncle’s friend quote me a Toyota Crown 1994 Royal Saloon.

I went there to see the car my self with my uncle.

And i found the car very clean and reasonable.

Next day i went to see the owner who is my uncle’s old friend as well.

We sit together for more than an hour and after good conversation they offer me a very good deal. Due to good relations they said take the car get it start from a mechanic (as there is a small problem in fuel pump) and use it. I’ll only pay if i like the car or else they will take it back.

The car was army auctioned.

When i searched the car number online i found the car is auctioned in 2012 and have a genuine 2012 number plates on it. But the model year in record shows 1974 and in actual car is 1994 model.

Im totally confused wether to buy it or not.
I didn’t get the papers yet. Will get them in couple of days.
But i have also asked from a friend to check the vehicle details from excise and i will also get the report tomorrow.

I went back to check the vehicle chasis number but won’t find it.

The owner also offered me a 1992 mercedes Benz W124 AMG unregistered Police auctioned with the voucher.

Please guide me about this case and also tel me wether they are good cars for regular use or not.

those were staff cars of mid 80s model i think he is talking about 90's models you are right to ask for pictures

an auction voucher from military organization is valid for 120 days after which it needs to be verified again by excise dept before allowing registration.

ok its a body swapped crown follow the followings thing's

1: if its a body swap crown then the BODY TAX SHOULD BE PAID TO CUSTOM'S if payed then its fine to have it
2: ask for custom slip and voucher's if its body tax has been paid.
3: if the body tax has not been paid then its useless to buy it.

4: its engine is swapped from diesel to petrol the engine is 1JZ 2500 cc petrol it doesnt gave a handsome economy but still very power full engine in daily routine drive a bit heavy on pocket.

5: by the pics its not a beautiful crown its average crown with a lot of work required.

6: whats the price they are asking for it maximum worth with 79 model frame is 3 lac

bhai dont go for this Crown. u will end up spending another 450k and still there are many issues.

if you already have car for daily use then get a clean one for occasional use.

I properly examined the car and got the chassis number and it is matched with the book.

Now registration number and chassis number are matched and the car was registered in 2012.

what was the chasis no starting from if its RS60 then its 70's if its MS100 then its 80's the picture you had posted is LS-141, JZS143,JZS147 chassis is it the same or post the from chassis code.
