Planning to Install CNG in new Swift from Al-Razaq G-10

Why didn't you went for omegas? Tested solution in liana.

And failed. Suzuki in no longer using Omga1. They are in final testing stage of BRC Sequential in Swift as they are already installing in APV.

@Spectra; sir i know warrenty void after installation of CNG but petrol was not affordable any more . Alhumdulilah 8.5K on odo meter and now i can take risk. baki Allah khar keray ga

sir a light left to RPM meters needle and below high bean head light indicator is Emission Control Light.

There is closed loop system is Swift:
sensor in exhaust provides feedback to ECU on output gases and on the feedback ECU decides the quantity of Petrol & Air mixture.

but now when i use CNG Emulator send' false information to ECU and check engine light wont come but on other end sensor at exahst is not getting what is needed so the light glows permanently.

Now i rest ECU by disconnecting batery terminals and light goes off; i started using car on petrol to check if there is any malfuctioning at sensor or not and sensor remained in OFF state after car gets started. used for almost 20K till now on petrol to reconfirm if sensor is working f9.
2nd step i will switch to CNG and check the response of the exhaust sensor, i suppose it will glow again after using car on CNG
Now question is how to get rid of it as i don't see any impact on CNG but it's malfunctioning will effect petrol millage in future; but your feedback will help.

This light means your engine in not getting enough fuel, i.e. its 'lean'. This will ruin your engine valves. This situation can sustain in adjustable tappet engine heads, but in latest engines with self adjusting valves its disastrous. As has happened in Vitz, new corollas etc. You should have installed a BRC sequential kit.

@bilal49er; Sir scanned ECU and found O2 output error, emulator and all other sensors working f9 but as i have mentioned earlier this car iz having closed loop system ECU is getting input from O2 but fuel has been changed and O2 is doing his duty giving error.
No O2 check light on Petrol.......

Now thinking how to get rid of O2 error as car is smooth, RPM is stable and no misbehavior on CNG other than that.

Option of Installing Lambda or Temoseeto Chip 5 emu& Adv which is having built in O2 sensor option too

Bro your car is telling you, your engine is running 'lean' on gas. Your kit is not giving sufficient fuel to the engine.

@hshakeem; its not always glowing. it only glows on while driving in rush hours in rushy places. it wont start glowing on moterway's, highway drive so the issue is not xactly running lean all the time

@poster dnt wrry for the engine check light same was happening with my xli.....u may call me for further details 0323-6248889 ali.......basically the new rolla's civic's nd swift's had sensors in their silencer's...nd wen the car is on petrol the censor's sense's the fuel carbon easily...but on CNG the censor's cannot sense the carbon nd the engine check light appears.....

If the light is on due to O2 sensor it means the fuel going into the engine is 'lean' i.e. not enough. This results in valve damage.

or is there any chance of accord also get victim of this CNG?
Plz guide us that how much KM accord will take to ruin valves on BRC any figure u can give as u are gauging it in number of kilometers ?

an idea that needs looking into:
For emissions light problem, if the exhaust sensor and oxygen sensor give same voltage to the ecu then oxygen emulation wire from emulator can be connected to the downstream exhaust sensor too for emulation of both....
Imho, worth looking into...

For God's sake, it is telling you that fuel is lean. Install a kit which can give the required quantity of gas to the engine.

I would like to share my exp of installing CNG kit in Swift

I thank to the person who has mentioned about the LR authorized dealer in <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Islamabad</st1:place></st1:City>, I went to there office and on inquiring they told me that LR is manufacturing a dedicated box for swift which includes all the essential parts for CNG

They took 1 week for delivery of box from <st1:City w:st="on">Karachi</st1:City> to <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Islamabad</st1:place></st1:City>, I took the box and cylinder from them which cost 24K for the box and Zifer 55kg cylinder cost 20.5K.

LR CNG Kit
LR Emulator LR27
LR Advancer STAP 600
LR LAMBDA control system LC 01
Venturi – Specially designed for swift by LR

LR Pen and key chain (Complementary Gift)

Dealer told me that there is only one workshop in pindi – <st1:City w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Islamabad</st1:place></st1:City> that is PAKISTAN CNG in I-9 which install lambda system and it is also recommended by LR itself.

I took the cylinder and box to him and they install everything in 4 hours and took 2k for stand which is specially designed for swift without doing any drill holes etc and 4.5K for installation.

Total cost concludes Rs. 51K, the interesting thing is that there is a guy installing CNG in his belta is giving directly 65K to the same work shop for installing same LC01. So it is better to coordinate with LR dealer.

The pick on petrol is reduced to 8% because of the weight of cylinder and air blockage by venturi, on CNG pick has reduced to 15% as compared to petrol, moreover I can easily accelerate the car in 2<SUP>nd</SUP> gear with rpm 5 along with AC. Overall I am very satisfied by the pick and drive on CNG

All the settings are done computerized by LR software and through LC 01, there is no problem of check light at all as all of the sensors are controlled by LC 01.

read the quote in your post above, the guy writes that sensors go through the LC01 thats why no lights pop up. its not about lean or rich. heck, if anyone knows which type of sensor that second one is then please post it here! it could be HC sensor, O2 sensor, or even cat overheat light if that car even has a cat converter.

cng and petrol are two different fuels. having a stoichiometric burn on cng wont necessarily give the driving a very pleasant driving experience - thus the complex lambda and sequential systems' advent.

bottomline - the whole system has to be bypassed as done by the LR system installed by the quoted guy.

read the quote in your post above, the guy writes that sensors go through the LC01 thats why no lights pop up. its not about lean or rich. heck, if anyone knows which type of sensor that second one is then please post it here! it could be HC sensor, O2 sensor, or even cat overheat light if that car even has a cat converter.

I think that we will have to look at what is the cause of check engine light by scanning with OBD. If the error code is that related to the fuel then only we can say that it is running lean or not.
I think ocean got it checked with OBD. Ocaean bhai can u tell which sode it was ?

Info about mileage, i am getting 140KM to 145KM on 55KG cylinder with 98% AC on, i think it will get more better after reaching of 5000KM to 8000KM, my car has driven only 2000KM.

@uqc: bro rpm needle get stable after few seconds depending on the condition of engine like AC, power steering, clutch, breaks, lights etc, it keep fluctuate btw 800 to 1000 for few secs. Same is the case on petrol also, OBD is the device for dignostic purpose for your engine, it is connected to ECU, and will prompt any issue related to malfuctioning, you will find it at any of suzuki authorized service shop in Pakistan.
