Platz average issue

My platz is not giving fuel average All service done .
Plugs changed throttle body cleaned recently mobil oil done
Please need expert advices i dont want to sell the car with AC on and local movement its just giving 280kms in 40 liters

Whats the total mileage?
Which grade engine oil you put?
Was the transmision fluid ever changed? If yes then how many km ago, if not then do asap.
Do u drive heavy foot?
Are u fueling up from a reputable place?

Check other fluids like transmission fluid. Use Oem engine oil and transmission oil grade. Use 60:40 ratio of SUPER and HI-OCTANE. And also change your filling station

Check ur transmission fluid and use oem grade. And change ur filling station. Use 60:40 ratio of Super and Hi-octane. Inshallah ur issue will be resolved

Check you car's oem grade of transmission fluid and then check which brand is making fluid with same specs then use it

From where to check oem grade of transmission fluid ??

There is a dip stick on gearbox from where u check the level of fluid on the bottom of dip stick or anywhere left or right of the dip stick oem grade is mentioned. If you wouldn't find that search it on google or download owner's manual of platz

These are some of the general tips, for fuel efficiency as well as general car maintenance. Please check, and take remedial actions accordingly:

1. Use OEM recommended Tyre Pressure (TP), and Best time to get TP checked is, when tires are cold and you are just about to start your journey.
2. Do keep a check on wheel balancing and alignment.
3. Use of near to stock and OEM recommended tires specifications.
4. Get your brakes serviced and engine tuned at every 10,000 kms (max.) or as and even required. Get spark plugs cleaned along with throttle body service. If plugs and brake pads are required to be replaced, use stock / OEM recommended plugs and brake pads, made in Japan, and replace them. Never use any other plugs and brake pads, they may compromise engine and safety, respectively. Clean Catalytic Converter, when required.
5. Even if there are no check lights / warning lights, get your vehicle scanned through computer from any reputable shop, at least for once, for any / all fault codes.
6. Get all the fluids / lubricants, CVT fluid, radiator coolant, etc. checked, and if they require top-up or replacement (depending on the situation), do it.
7. Always use recommended Engine oil grade from some reputed brand, and change after regular intervals. Do not drag it for long.
8. Always use genuine, OEM filters (Air, Oil, AC / Cabin, etc.) and try to keep air filter always clean. Its "lungs" for engine.
9. Ensure that every product you use is 100% genuine and original.
10. Let go of any additional weight in your car, boot compartment (Diggi), etc.
11. Use fuel from well-renowned, respected fuel stations.
12. Lastly, drive softly and carefully. Do not apply brakes harshly and accelerate / decelerate abruptly. Driving style matters the most.

Well I own the same car and it gave 9 km/l on AC strictly in local while its gasket was a bit blown.

The best bet for good mileage for this car due to 4 speed AT is to drive very mildly on 4th gear (overdrive) which is about 63 km/h on this car. By doing this I get 12 km/l without AC on a sub optimal engine.

These 4 speed AT paired with 1000 cc 1SZ-FE were not designed with consumption in mind so do not expect wonders. Manual version of Platz does around 16 km/l though

I live in Multan so it never goes above 50

On motorway with 120 km/h it struggled to give 10.5 km/l with AC on. Remember this is what you can call a "compromise car". It has a 1000cc engine only for Japanese market, in rest of the world it comes primarily in 1500cc (or 1300cc sometimes). So body to engine power ratio is not that good. My experience tells me that this car is good for longer drives in the city. It is not good fuel average wise for shorter trips or trips between cities. But it is a relatively cheap car with Toyota badge and has healthy boot space. You give some you lose some.

That means it is primarily in its "3rd" gear which will never give you good average. Try keeping the car in "4th" gear at low RPMs and you will feel a difference.
