While everyone was busy slaughtering their animals, I took my Toyota Platz on the highway for a top speed run after the eid prayers. The Platz is 2004 model, 1.0 L engine, completely stock condition and runs on petrol.

why is the rpm meter not on..??

...my cousin pushed his echo(1.3L platz) to 190, and according to him it took ages...

khair its good se hear tht u tried it on motorway not in a ress. area...and considering the power to weight ratio your car did good

Platz 1.0L doesn't have a rpm meter.

One shouldn't be attempting anything like this in a road car and never on public roads. Such acts are discouraged here.

amazing to see a 1.0l do so much. m particularly impressed by the Platz having done so much because it was my most fave once not so far ago. m sure waleed80 would love to comment on this. i actually thought this would be a post by him.

why is the overdrive (O/D) off. aren't we supposed to turn on O/D when trying to achieve top speed or is it just to improve fuel economy? isn't it the top gear?
btw drive safe.

The locally 1.0L cars can also do this kinda speed, so its topspeed is not that impressive.

dont know about the mods, but yes i wud agree if he did it on motorway to check the worth of his cars max speed and NOT testing on residential roads and NOT racing on streets to TEST his racing skills...

i have seen some pretty bad accidents on eid days as everybody is skipping red lights driving fast or performing stunts. please be careful

im not "obsessed" with mods.. i see people doing brave "stunts" and posting it on PW.. we know some people have even died.. but i think PW management folks dont wanto discourage such irresponsible members of PW..

No, they are actually against promoting IRRESPONSIBLE motorsport activities like illegal street racing and over speeding on hishly sensitive locations or young drivers driving/racing etc

I am sure if you buy a car, you would definetly want to check the max speed of it. Now it will show how responsible you are to check the max speed in a residential street rather than checking on a motorway.

People will post, you cant stop them by deleting each and every post. Try to differentiate between safety driving and unsafe driving factors...
