please somebody explain wats gt, gti, and gtti?? whats so different in these models than the simple editions..

GT=Grand Tune

GTi=Grand Tune Injection

GTti=Grand Tune Turbo Injection.

Injection if for Efi Setup !! Differences Between GT and GTi is GT is Carby and GTi is EFi and GTti is EFi with Stock Turbo Intercooler... m i rite every1 ???

well dont jknow about Gti or GTti but whati am sure about is that

GT = Grand tourer, and i think that its definition is said to be that any car which can comfortably cruise at 120mph or so....

GT"--Grand Tourismo.. grand touring.,,,,,, type of model intented for touring needs rather than general use but is ofcourse can be used for regular use.

i"-- mostly abbreviated for injection,,,,fuel injection type engine

Gt ti"- again touring car with turbo tuned fuel injection engine.

touring cars tend to have better road handling features from advanced suspension /braking etc.

touring can be but need not to be luxury models in terms of powered features like power windows etc.... again depends on manufacturer

there were some features different in charade GTti and Gtxx ---"xx being the later model of "ti

Different cars came with different abbreviation ... if its Corolla station wagon then GT means different ... and if its Starlet then GT means some thing different ... and if it is Skyline GT means some thing else ... so it is very hard to explain these terms ...

Originally, GT meant Grand Touring, as levin pointed out, but the concept of GT is different in Japanese, European and American cars.
to explain it in layman terms, a GT car was tuned for road as well as track use. a GT car can be carby as well as EFI (e.g., the 1986 GT Twin cam 16 is an EFI equipped car).
GTti was the turbo model of the charade.
GTi was the turbo model of the Suzuki Swift.
i REPEAT, these are laymen terms! when we were kids these were very hot topics. a GT always meant an 86 GT Twin Cam 16 Corolla; a GTi always meant a Suzuki Swift Turbo and a GTti always meant a Charade Turbo (the 88+ model (andaa!)).
