How abt PSMC doesn't even import or manufacture parts of discontinued altos and mehrans??? For example We can't find carburetors even in scrap yards, end up buying a non-compatible chinese ones... The new altos will be old sooner or later and hence imagine the scenario.. the problem is not parts availability, its all about running period of pkdm vs the whole worlds manufactured vehicles, lets say 5 years for instance, dozens of warranty claim for pkdm, while according to suneel munj "jdm just need periodical maintenance and they are undestructable". You can't find Fx from 80s Fx and rusted 90s but plently of corollas of 80s and even 70s still running.
I am neithet defending JDMs, nor a die hard fan. I agree parts availability is an issue ofcourse with most of the makes and models, but keep in mind the running period and claims required....
BTW pkdms mostly end up in radi wala, thaana or kharcheri in their after life, whereas jdms dismantled and shipped to third world countries like ours or africa
thats where their parts came till the import ban in 2022.
