i am considering to buy one of these two cars

honda city 2008 ids-i
honda city 2009 ivtec

i want to know which one should i go for? i drive on petrol

my main aim is to save fuel, my monthly drive is 2500KM local in pindi.isb, maximum fuel i have is 200L, i currently own Swift. it doesn't fit in straller/bags in trunk and fuel consumption can get dirty if you run AC.

if you feel there are other good options that i can go for, pls do suggest. price range that i can go to is not more than 15 lakh however i would like to spend as less as possible, i don't like to buy a new car rather i prefer old cars. i don't like xli,gli.

and by the way i don't want to go to workshops either

2009 I-vtec City's fuel average is better than Ids-i.

City 2009 + in every respect. 1st off, its a newer model and looks better. The drive of the car is way better, and with regards to fuel economy, both cars give about the same average. Ofcourse, you need to remember that the price difference would be around 150 - 200k.

Both have roughly the same economy while the latter is very good in terms of performance while the IDSI lacks that. Get whichever you find in pristine condition. 2009 city like @pistonhead pointed out would cost 150-200k more than IDSI.

City idsi :- Value for money + good fuel economy
City ivtec :- A bit better fuel economy + shahska of modern car

if saving is the ultimate deciding factor, get an idsi, make capital saving too! why invest 4-5 lakh more to save 0.5rs per km? find a nicely kept used idsi, it would probably come with cng already fitted. take that as an added benefit.

Depends on condition.. from 11 lacs to 12.50.. I have a 2007 with cng and in clean condition.. not really desperate to sale but cant refuse a good offer

brother new city is good in every way except interior old vario will cost u 2-3 lac less for manual / auto so it is also good ur choice.

Even if u get cng once a week.. its enough.. 200km but if you travel more than that then ques will bother you.. otherwise on tuesdays ques are very short
