It produces sound like space ship, honestly..it was installed for pedestrians so that they may know when the silent car is approaching..you can switch it off by pressing this button.it's ON by default.

Well you can hear it easily even car is on ev..I don't know if that sounds still comes when engine is on..
You can hear it clearly in night at slow speed with Windows open..

This button is available in all models from 2012.
When the car is on batteries and moving slowly (i think less than 20 km/h), the engine will make artificial sound to alert the person nearby. You can press the button to turn off the noise, but you have to do it every time you turn ON the engine. By default, the car will make artificial noise, when on batteries.

this sound button 1st you will hear tic toc it means hi voltage relay on shifting in battery mode
after you will feel like space ship sound it comes from engine compartment when you slow your car sound will change motor powering regeneratic break
