I had parked the car at around 8 am at the parking ground and found it stolen at around 6 pm. On the day of the incident, I noticed an old 70cc bike(Reg # KFW-2690) parked next to the driving seat door of my car, close enough that I could not fully open the door.
Later at around 6 pm, when I went for a routine evening walk, I found out that my car had been stolen and the bike was still there. This made me suspicious that the thief(s) used the bike to steal my car, I informed the police(at Daraksha Police Station) about the bike.
Later at night at around 10 pm, I visited the place where my car was parked and found the same bike still there. I checked the CPCL record of the bike via Excise website and found it to be “Not Clear” I called 15 and inform the police, They arrive at the scene within 15 minutes.
When police check the record on their own, they found that according to police records, this bike was stolen and recovered after two weeks. So this bike should be handed over to the owner to OR still be in possession of the police, why it was found next to my stolen car? on the day of the incident.
At the time of writing this post(10th August 2020) What I have done so far:
- Lodged a written complaint to CPCL(No action has been taken)
- Informed Anti Car Lifting department about the stolen bike(No action has been taken)
- Lodged an FIR (# 363/20) at PS Darakhshan(No action has been taken)
