steering lock can be broken with screw driver and hammer.
securtiy alarm lock can be disengaged in 30 seconds by hooking out the ignition jack and inserting their own ignition divices in that jack/ plug and starting the car and drive away.
Krooklok / steering to clutch lock can be disengaged by a lead pipe which breaks its "U " shape curve and also some theives cut the steering wheel in a couple of minutes if the Krook lok is genuine UK made which is without weld.
All chinese krook locks available in market these days are a hollow pipe welded with U shaped rods at both ends and the welds are very poor. Take it out and you can brake it with a brick too.
China tricircle padlock can be broken with a steel bar as well as the theives have got some file from which they grind the side of the lock and take out the balls of the padlock and open it in a couple of minutes.
What else? the gear lever to hand brake lock can be cut by a hacksaw or a cutter.
Most of the trackers can be de-tracked (disabled) in 5 minutes as i read in a few articles in dawn and jang.
Insurance companies dont give the full payment back and you even have to wait for 6 months to get your cheque and if unfortunately police finds your car, you know the condition, millions of parts will be missing in it and usually you are only left with a chasis and body.
Another thing with insurance is that they depriciate the car value and in pakistan i think it should be considered as appriciated as the years pass due to devaluation of our currency and increase in car prices like hell. For eg. I have got a cuore 07 which i bought for i guess 4 lakhs some thing and now its for 6 lakhs something. Its insured but i guess its dereciated by 2 or 3 years but just 10K driven and unfortunately if stolen the insurance company will give what 3 lakhs or so and i cant get the same used model in a very bad condition even in that price. And i have heard a lot from people that insurance companies dont pay the full amounts to individuals. The banks are a different case (but thats what i have heard).
So what to do? how to save your car. its your very hard earned money and theif take a few minutes to lift it in a few minutes and sell it for a few thousands.
