These days, I'm practicing the Pulse & Glide technique in our 2014 Aqua. Most of the time it obeys a throttle pulse to a desired speed, throttle release and partial throttle press for achieving glide mode. I have started getting better averages but sometimes these days, when the throttle is released after a pulse, the engine revs up on its own and the subsequent partial throttle press for achieving a glide can not be accomplished. Even when the battery is charged this happens, the car refuses to go in a glide and switch to EV. At any speeds, this can't be done. Engine revs up upon throttle release, with no effect on car's acceleration.
The next journey, car goes back to normal behavior and obey Pulse and Glide.
Has anyone experienced this kind of behavior, any suggestions?
