Got a call from SJ a few hours ago. The little man is to undergo surgery today at 2:30 P.M. The boy will be able to live a better life after this InshAllah. Just pray Allah gives the parents tons ov patience.

Let me write full Detail of what actually have happened to my Cute Little Prince "Mustafa Shahid Ehsan" (Previously named as Ahmad Shahid Ehsan).
My Son was born on 10th May 2013.
We celebrated is Haqqiqa with Grand Celebration on May the 18th.
On May 19th at around 10
0 PM, he started to vommit and cry after each vommit and his Neck was also stiffened. After 4 Vommitts in 2 hours and continuous Irritation and cry. I took him to Hospital at around 120 PM.
At first he was diagnosed with Meningitis (Meningitis - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) commonly known as (Gardan Totr Bukhar), for which he was treated for 3 days but his condition was getting worse instead of improving.
After four days, Doctors suggested to have his Brain Ultra sound, which showed Massive Bleeding and was further recommended to have C-T Scan. C-T Scan confirmed that he is going through Massive Brain Hemorrhage (Cerebral hemorrhage - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia).
According to Doctors There are two parts of the Brain :
No. 1: Major Part (Brain Itself)
No. 2: Minor Part ( Water Pockets)
He was having Massive Bleeding in his Water Pockets for which he was recommended for Surgery (Drain).
His head size started to increase rapidly.
On 22 June Doctors Operated him and installed a VP Shunt with drainage system. A pipe (EVD) was installed in his head to bring water out with Head Pressure (which is too much risky for Infections to attach, as you are directly communicating with Brain from outside).
This pipe helped alot and water color was Dark Red (total Blood) in the start which turned medium red after 12 days and was improving with the time. This EVD was to remove after 15 days, but due to carelessness of Nurses EVD came out of his head on 12th day of installation and they blammed my little Baby that he pulled the EVD out of his head - WHICH IS NO WAY POSSIBLE FOR A 24 DAYS OLD BABY.... HALF UNCONSCIOUS.
Afterwards our neurosurgeon recommended to have a C-T Scan instead of installing a new EVD. C-T Scan report shows that 70% of the blood have been removed but still 30% is there. Our Neuro Surgeon didnt wanted to operate again and install an EVD for remaining 30% Blood. So, we suggested to wait for next 15 days, IF ONLY BABY HEAD SIZE REMAIN THE SAME. But his head size started in increase.
He was again recommended to have C-T Scan which showed that Blood in his brain has almost finished and Hemorrhage is almost at its finishing stage (or you can say 90% recovered) - BUT - his PORES in which Brain Water desolve's are blocked making water pressure to increase making head Bigger than Normal. This problem is known as HYDROCEPHALUS (Hydrocephalus - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
Our Doctor Suggested us to have a VP Shunt (Cerebral shunt - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) Installed. Which is a sort of vein starting from Brain and ending in Stomach, working as Drainage for water gathering in Brain.
According to our Doctors we have NO other way to deal with HYDOCEPHALUS and VP- Shunt is our first and last option.
With Heavy heart we prepared ourself for Surgery (installation of VP-Shunt) on 19th June.
is increasing from saturday. Neurosurgeon will visit today at 60 PM.... and he is very much keen to have V-P Shunt installed in my Babies head till his stomach as a Drain or u can say permananet EVD. which we really dont want!!!!
As the Operation started, Neuro Surgeon found out that water in his head is still Red and in this condition VP-Shunt cannot be installed as it will be block in few minutes because Water mixed with Blood is to THICK.
For time being, Neuro Surgeon Installed first half of VP-Shunt in his brain, blocking the drainage pipe. This Shunt can be easily seen from surface of the head, from which Neuro Surgeon inject out the water on Daily basis with Syringe.
This process is commonly knows as Ommaya Reservoir (Ommaya reservoir - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia). It is 100% safe in terms of getting Infection from outside.
15-20 ML water is being injected out from his head on daily basis (depending on fontanel pressure)
Yesterday's report is as follows:
Color: Light Yellowish. (Required : White)
Transparancy: Clear. (OK)
WBC: 03 (OK) (Was above 50) (Required Less than 05)
RBC: NIL (OK) (Was above 40) (Required NIL)
Neutrophils: NIL (OK)
Lymphocytes: 100 (OK)
Glucose: 22 (OK)
Protein: 100 (Was above 250) (Required Less than 05).
We are required to take him to hospital on daily basis for aspiration of water from Ommaya Reservoir. Unless Proteins comes under 40.
After that Neuro Surgeon will not Aspirate Water for 2-3 days to see if pressure. If pressure is normal than it means he is normal and does not require any type of VP-SHUNT (which we wish and are praying).
If pressure is high then we have no other option to have VP-Shunt installed in him for LIFE. Which according to my information does not work more than 6-8 years (MAXIMUM) and need replacement.
NOW I NEED PRAYERS OF ALL PAKWHEELERS, THEIR FAMILES, FRIENDS, RELATIVES ETC FOR MY BABIES HEALTHY LIFE WITHOUT VP-SHUNT.
