SalamAdvice required as it is beneficial to switch from 5w30 to 5w40 honda genuine oil? Pros and Cons ad my ride is honda city 2014, 65000 recently purchased,
Unless your car is consuming oil slightly due to weak rings there is no reason to shift to 5W-40 (A "thicker" oil). Always stick to the manual.
I am currently driving a 15 years old car with 180,000+ KM on 5W-30 and it is perfectly fine.
What does Honda recommend?
keep using 5w30does it give blue smoke at start plus honda has mentioned in 2008 upward models manual that slight consumption is normal
What city do you live in? Both oil viscosity's are good tbh.
Rawalpindi
No issue with consumption, just as if there is no issue with 5w40 then i want to ask
Both
5w 30 should be fine then
