Vehicle odo meter now is 268000 kms it is 2008 model Grade A, purchased / registered in PK Jan 2012. Auction sheet had 88000 kms mentioned over it.
the vehicle is owned by relative who was complaining of very bad fuel average and vibrations at low rpm / rush hour crawling traffic ac fails to cool the cabin and temp needle climb.
his regular workshop in DHA Ph 2 Karachi after CVT oil change & engine oil change to 20W-50 recommended engine & gear box change sooner the better. AC shop wanted compressor changed 2nd hand unit for Rs. 21000.00 which was pending.
(both oil containers were in the trunk sent over by the owner for mr. ahmed to look if quality was ok)
past week after iftar dinner his vehicle refused to start. i dropped him home on way listening to the sad story and recommended Jameel Autos from PakWheels. instead he asked if i recommend him, which i did ' at your own risk cost ' because you may not like the approach of mechanic speaking meeting with owner for 1st time customer.
2 days later he landed there with the vehicle.

Vehicle was diagnosed by Mr. Irshad Ahmed using scanner, it had only Right Front ABS error & fan error (am not sure of error code) owner left the place after meeting mr. ahmed.
mr. ahmed called owner on phone and got blanket approval to fix the problems. The driver was quiet annoyed by mr ahmed of not paying attention to his technical expertise.
mr.ahmed performed compression test to which reading was 170 psi over all 4 cylinders. he changed engine oil to aisin 5W-30, Genuine Toyota oil filter & air filter. He noticed radiator single electrical fan on constant run. Found thermostat valve in this condition. Replaced genuine new, he also removed radiator which was apparently GOOD, but thats' how it was found. The return tank was having some kind of saw dust deposit having hairline crack and simmering leakage was present.
upon recommendation of mr. ahmed only radiator tank was replaced from a salvage yard.
transmission mount was also changed to new one.
mr. ahmed has suggested not to use coolant so to check if there is any seepage or drop level of overflow bottle. vehicle will visit him after 2 full tank fuel test.
vehicle is silent as snake, pickup has improved by level 50 AC cooling is back to the level when it was purchased in 2012. Mr. ahmed confirmed that CVT oil specs is correct. But engine oil was bad therefore changed.
parts were sourced by owner from plaza shop recommended by mr. ahmed, labor & radiator repair was charged highly reasonable. Driver wanted to test & delay payment, which mr. ahmed agreed. But owner visited next afternoon and cleared the bill with gratitude.
so far owner is highly excited, with the job done. car is back to its 2012 position cabin cooling, trouble & vibration free car is all he desired.
