I think the same has happened with you as the owner of the Civic in the video above due to flooding. Best option would be to rebuild the engine as 2ZR FE 1800CC is expensive and there is no guarantee of these engines in scrap yards. In addition, a friend of mine has changed his engine in the same model Premio as yours and now his car isn't selling. To be honest with you, mechanics always want the easy way out, that is, directly swapping engine without even seeing it properly.

Im not sure but this guy Surkhail in the video said that this issue still persists in 10th gen. Civic X which has even scared me a bit so i guess Civic X owners must be careful as well.

I dont think he did any thing wrong. He choses his family over car. He knew the car will sink, but he tried.
Now whats done is done.
Everyone sating you did wrong, no one can understand what he was going through, i can understand his pain. As i gone through same in 2010 flood.
At that time you dont have options or time.

Brother the tak tak sound u hear is the connecting rods are bend.See the above video for 9th generation civic you will understand.Condition of block can only be determined if head is removed and inside of engine is inspected.I am sure you can rebuild your engine.Swapping used engine will lower it's value.Rebuild own 2zrfe engine with oem parts and car will serve you for years.I think the same engine is also in new corolla.

By going inside flood he didnot care for his family,rather put their lives on risk.
It will be very difficult infact impossible for them to get out of car incase of high water level or engine shut down inside flood

Dear members.

Sorry to say i cam here for suggestion but you people tried to blame me for risking my family life. You know i am driving at DHA phase 4 roads searching for save place. Not inside sea or ground filled by water or any flooded area or underpass filled by water. No one wants to spoils his car worth of 2.7 million. We are not on the roads because of enjoyment purpose or we didnot seen rain before it was an emergecy.
Some how i contacted several mechanics all are on same page that if the block undet engine damage they are bo other option left without swapping engine.

Buy replacement and open it up too, all the scrapyard ones are flooded too.

Remove the whole interior before fungus starts to grow, if black fungus starts in the ac, it can cause very bad respiratory problems and you wont want that in times when covid has spread already
