Premio is a crappy car, no handling, no road grip, no nothing. Typical Toyota rubbish. What a paindu car, I can't imagine any sane minded person paying good money for that second hand rubbish. If you want a good Toyota, get a Mark X or Crown, the rest of their 'sedan' stuff is pathetic rubbish not even good enough to compete with Suzuki. Take the wisest decsion you ever will, get a Civic

My experience driving BMWs is unsurprisingly limited: I’ve gotten behind the wheel of a 325ci Convertible, an X3 3.0, a 745, and a Z4, all at the various driving events BMW and other luxury manufacturers sponsor around the DC area. With the exception of the 325 (which felt anemic and frankly boring for the price), the cars all drove superbly—I couldn’t fault their dynamics. Jeremy and I even managed to skid the X3 across a grass median during our test, which of course made the thing very dear to my heart.

But what I have found unforgivable about BMW is the terrible design. The 745 looked like it was designed by a 12-year old, and the iDrive system was so poorly made I ran a stop sign trying to toggle the climate control off. The headlamps look bulbous like wasp eyes, the boot looked stuck open with that terrible flare, and in general it was trying too hard to look futuristic. The old BMWs, which were relatively unassuming while tearing up the roads, had far more class.

That was why I found Mickey Kaus’ reporting of BMW design chief Chris Bangle’s justifications so enraging. Bangle apprently can only follow “precedent,” and he bragged about copying Frank Gehry’s horribly ugly Bilbao museum when he made the Z4 look like a riced-out Buick in the front and a crumpled sheet of paper on the side. He also brags about technique and tooling and design essays and the like. Basically, he is the consummate art snob, the kind of person who has wrecked modern design by making it so disconnected from taste and class. And BMW is the worse off for it

If u'll go for civic u'll buy it on 13lak andsell it on 10 or 11lak. Honda is a gud car, no doubt. But u know da issue of honda parts and market. Go for premio.

Uh, there's nothing wrong with 'Pakki' assembled cars. If you guys keep on comparing Pak Suzukis junk and Toyota Indus'es junk which is already half obsolete and missing half the stuff you won't get anywhere.

There is no issue of Honda parts, I can testify for that. There are HARDLY any Premio parts in the market. My friends Premios was totally destroyed from the outside in the recent riots and that car is now unrepairable since the bonnet, fenders, bumpers etc are NOT available.

The Pakistani assembled Civic is comparable to any international car, period. Try owning one then making a basis of comparison. There is nothing special about the Japanese used rubbish we get in this market.

Premio is bigger with a lot more stuff in it, tho ill never suggest a toyo over a honda. The pleasure of honda is in no other. remember one thing:

Honda "WORLDOVER" is perfect.

Though @ Cylestyne, you're the first in hundreds of people ive talked to who say BMW 2002+ models (any) look bad..? Its your own opinion and i respect it, but how can you insult the image of a 7 series. Actually i dont like the rear lights of the older one (2002-2005/6) but the newer one (750li lightS) is way cooler than any Benz or lexus.

PREMIO ALL the way,,,,its value for money dude..U can a get 2002 model for 12.5 lac unreg and a 2005 model for 14.5 to 15 lac unreg ,,,which would be like brand new...its a awesome car.i have both civic 2005 and premio,and premio is way better than civic in all the way.

Premio isn't bigger, doesnt have more stuff (the only thing 'more' it has is all auto window up/down system). The Civic is not only longer, roomier and wider, it has:

a) Better bigger seats (Toyota users find them 'uncomfortable' because they're BUCKET seats, Typical of all Hondas). More room at the back since theres no floor hump unlike all Toyotas (except very recent new ones).

b) Excellent handling around the corners, whereas the Premio feels disgustingly out of hand

c) Accelleration thats worthy of the Civic name, Premio feels slow like anything. (I'm talking A/T on both here).

d) Technologically the Civic is superior: Better engine, Drive By Wire, More fuel economy etc.

e) Looks much better than any Toyota, the Premio is plainly FUGLY.

f) Cheap ass Toyota interior with the fake wood plastic compared to the futuristic Honda Interior.

I can't understand why people want to compare an obsolete 2003+ Premio to a brand new Civic, just does not make sense. Even in Japan a loaded Premio COSTS LESS than a loaded Civic. They're entirely different segments. Premio is for dull old uncles and Civic is for a more exciting YOUNGER crowd.

There is no comparison, these are two different breeds of horses.

And as far as my statement on BMW is concerned, I don't like most of their models thats just my taste. Germany has better cars to offer rather than BMW

ok i agree with u abt the civic is for young ones but a better choice is then cl7 in the jap assembled cars if u saying abt which look goood on teens,,,so now say,,,will u still say civic looks better than cl7.
now comparing premio with civic,,,the guy who started the topic is trying to compare the 2005-2006 civic with premio..or if u compare a 2007 civic its still ok,,coz premio is better than it also..
u get the airbags in premio whille in civic u dont get air bags and in the 2007 model u only get airbbag in the oriel model..
now for the interior i can bet lets have a poolll ,,,lets c who thinks civic has better interior than premio...premio interior defines luxury in this price range...its much goood..
u drive honda,,i too drive it,,its damn too hard,while premio is soft while driving ,,much better suspensions ,,and inspite of being soft has much better road grip..
no offence bro!!everyone has is own choice...i know premio is not for youngsters but if u just taking this point to make civic better then its absolutely wrong.

Actually, lets educate you:

• CL7 is old now. Technologywise its not offering much more than the 1.8. However the CL9 is a different story, way better car since its a Top of The Line Accord.

• So the airbags (dual srs in both case) are there... get the Oriel if you really want them

• Premio defines luxury? Paindoo luxury maybe. If you want real futuristic styling you wont find any better than Honda

• Premio's softness is attributed to a rubbish suspension which is not meant for handling around the corners. Hondas have a harder, sportier suspension, will beat the crap out of any Toyota in this department, the way that they handle ensures they don't leave the road. Unlike Toyotas they don't fly all over the place Want to make a wager on your road grip statement?
