Now we are moving towards another interesting part of this fort....

I think a double story structure ....and the roof is no more....this deep groove suggests so....

The visit of the fort is not over yet......

Something very special and amazing to see .........But its ..."UNDERGROUND".......

There was a series of small to medium "Underground" rooms......A piece of architecture.....hundreds of years old.....

Our guide Suggested me not to go due to the danger of snake/scorpion bite which are thought to be there because of the orientation/location and low/no light conditions of the premises....

First I agreed not to go inside......(My co-driver was also not comfortable after listening the snake story)....
But I don't know why......I felt a strong urge to go down there and to capture some pics of these underground rooms /tunnels...

And I entered the first room ......alone....."Underground"....I had a small pencil torch (not enough) and my camera....quite dark and smelly inside...
It was a square room with semi doomed roof made with bricks.....Height of the roof was not more than 6/7 feet....
Other source of light was the "Red Ray" of my camera ...but effective for a short while....as you know.....

Another close view of the roof......I saw bricks here in this fort for the first time.....As I told earlier that the roof structure was semi doomed ...

Entered the second room ...through a thick tunnel in between....
It was a similar room .....Roof had developed cracks either due to age/load or earthquake.....

As you can see......

I was listening constantly......."ABU BAHAR NIKLAIN"......from my kids...:)..

A very nice view/close up of the wall....showing...how these irregular natural stones were arranged to build a smooth wall....using some bonding material which I feel is far more stronger than our "Cement"...as it is standing there for hundreds of years....

LIME is used as bonding material ......... its not strong than cement .......... but it is flexible, due to which it has longer life span.

yes you are right....all the old /ancient buildings were made with this...
