Wasn't expecting that kind of main gate of such a historic fort...

This fort is built in different portions and is quite big....
This part of the fort is just in front of the main entrance.....
Notice the thickness of the walls...and another unique thing ...that NO BRICKS are used but only big /irregular stones.....

The steel gate is definitely not original and must be added afterwards....The platform and the grill also seem to be "REBUILT" ...but "Arched Entrance is original for sure Bilal.....

Boundary wall still intact with some damage but inner structure of this part of the fort is severely effected and demolished by the earthquake which was quite intact too.....

This was told by our GUIDE/GUARD.....

Some intact structure......I tried to capture as much views as possible for your kind viewing.....

Notice the uniqueness of this structure that still there is no brick used ...but only stones ....resulting in such thick and regular walls....
I found it very amazing.....

This Umbrella is definitely not a part of the old structure.....lolzzzz..:D...
Its just there for you to sit in this environment and feel/imagine about the days ,this structure /fort was in use ..............

Just imagine the thickness of this wall....at least 12/13 feet as you can see our Guide standing there....again made from stones.....except the arch ,where some "tailored" stones are used .....

A very nice view/close up of the wall....showing...how these irregular natural stones were arranged to build a smooth wall....using some bonding material which I feel is far more stronger than our "Cement"...as it is standing there for hundreds of years....

I feel that these bricks are not a part of the original structure but some repair work after wards ......WALLAH ALAM...
