You got a very nice mini there MASHALLAH....looking very neat and clean...No doubt,its a very capable machine...specially power to weight ratio...I drove it around 1650KMs and enjoyed every moment of it...only concern was the fuel consumption which is equal to LC...:D. otherwise very nice SUV...

These 80 Series LCs are very capable machines.....I feel that models after 80 series use more plastics and aesthetics....and front independent suspensions etc....
I think that this was the last model with solid axle in the front.....correct me if I am wrong...when one is on a pleasure trip...vehicle should be in good reliable condition to enjoy it to full extent......
We are not doing much technical here but just some routine maintenance and replacements of parts required......anyhow you are about to see some more similar/interesting stuff in coming pages....:).

After completing the rear...came to the front hubs/brakes....

As you can see that this vehicle has a big/fix (not sliding) front caliper with two pistons on each side of the rotor....
Brake pads were fine like rear ones...so they were serviced/sanded and fitted back..

@libra (Hanif Bhai) is a source of inspiration for me.....I am just a "TIFL-E-MAKTAB ( a little student) in front of hanif Bhai.In fact,his traveling threads triggered me to go for these type of travels.He is an energetic person and a nature lover....
His traveling threads are the best in all respects and very inspiring for all of us...All the above words are coming straight from my heart....

Now some work......underneath the vehicle.....
This jeep is a full time 4WD....So crosses both on front and rear drive shafts were inspected and were found fine....so greased,...The front one you can see in the following pic....A little leak(as you can see) was there from the gasket of engine drain plug which was replaced...engine Oil and genuine oil filter was replaced too...

There are sliding splines on front and rear shafts which move forward and back on bumps.....they were greased as well...just two strokes of grease gun each shaft...over greasing is not recommended...

This jeep is auto transmission....Although ATF was looking fine but I did not know when It was changed last time....So decided to change auto transmission fluid as well.....
opening sump nut of auto tranny.....

Toyota genuine ATF was used....(D2 for this particular vehicle)....
This jeep has very bis stomach...:).9.5 liters of engine oil is required....
and transmission is also quite hungry...:D.6 liters of Atf is required for partial change.....and 12/13 liters for complete change...(A)..

To sum up....maintenance work we did was as follows...
Engine oil +filter changed
diesel filter changedd (no pics)genuine used.
Air filter change (no pics) genuine used.
Auto transmission oil changed
Timing belt+tensioner+bearing changed
alternator belts changed (two in this vehicle)
A/C compressor bearing+tensioner+belt changed.
Radiator flushed
Front and rear brakes+Hand brake serviced and adjusted.
greased all shafts+crosses...
I think...mmmm ..not missing anything..

After doing mechanical maintenance....we came to the next set of "Preparations".:D.
As I told you before that this vehicle is an active vacation model...In fact a complete camper.....

And a fold able queen's size bed.....cushioned with around 1.5 inch hard foam...ideal for injured backs (like me)...feels exactly like "molty ortho" ...
