Disc pads removed and inspected.....
Enough for an other 10000 KMs....wear out quickly on autos than manuals...specially the front ones.....

Bracket of rear caliper also removed as well as rear disc/drum assembly......
The brake shoes you are watching are of hand brake...

Now i do agree its getting two technical :D. but we can divide it into two topics

Some interesting stuff....
The toothed rotor which this screw driver is pointing is of ABS...you can also notice the sensor right below the screw driver tip...
when this rotor stops due to wheel lock,sensor picks it and send signal to the central unit,which in turn releases pressure to prevent wheel lock.....like this ABS comes into action......
OOPS...once again sorry......I forgot once again that this is not "spitfire restoration thread" but Traveling one....this detail is irrelevant...:$......
But cant control my hands from typing technical details..:D.

I love the Landcruiser 80 Series and the attention to detail in preparation of your trip is commendable. I would much rather see a whole thread dedicated to the preparation and the technical side more than the trip itself.
