We missed your company as well... and thanx for the appreciation... but can't compete your presentation skills and the way you cover the events...

But still considering the road conditions and health issues... the road from Dir to Shandhoor is not advisable to you at-least from my side... if anyone wants to visit then go from gligit to ghizar and then to shandhoor...

Still every part of land has it's own beauty and thrill... so, for adventure lovers it's a pretty memorable and great journey...

It will be suzuki baleno 1.6GTI, engine condition is excellent, it has new shoes as well

and most important, its Rahman bhai (spitfire) who is the motivation for me to go and see these areas. his related threads are excellent and there is no match on entire pakwheels for his threads and posting style...

My programme to accompany you brothers was confirmed...and all the preparations were done.....including "Suzuki jimny"...But just before that a close friend and a neighbor of mine Dr. Jamshed pulled me for a short trip on his newly purchased "Diahatsu Copen" (hard top convertible) to Nathia Gali...
On return I had a bad/stiff neck......:)...I mean severe pain in my left shoulder and neck....which lasted for about 15 days...that was the reason I could not catch you...
next time INSHALLAH....

in one of your posts u discussed engine swap of 660 jimny can u tell me a few things if u dont mind

a. wat is the model of jimny & which engine did you swap in place of 660cc

b. have u got AT or MT in 660cc . did you ratained/changing the transmission after the engine swap.

c. u have mentioned that u r swapping the 4x4 transfer case plz mention the reason.

d. after the engine swap did u keep stock differentials or changed the diffs.(both north & south)

e. ratios of stock diffs and swapped diffs (both north & south)

f. did u change (Inside diffs) only ring, pinion, both or whole assembly inside the housing

Sorry for responding late......here are your answers.....
My cousin was very fond of jimny...tried to find one in good condition..but no success...
So In desperation he bought this jimny....
body was average ,interior was not that bad ...it was "Land venture"model of jimny with leather etc.....quite intact..
as you know,it was 660 cc turbo charged....
first of all turbo died....replaced....oil pump stopped working and engine seized....got it overhauled with new turbo....Ran for a month or so...
we gave it to our Munshi in Village........who changed its oil filter and oil......filter leaked due to tightening with wrench and engine starved/seized again....
Towed from village to home and thrown under a tree for 3/4 months....could not find time...
Then we decided to play with it.....we both(me and my cousin) went to Bilal gunj and located an engine of jimny 1300cc DOHC which comes in 2008 model jimny complete with auto tranny (it was already auto with 660cc engine)...
swapped the engine......after a lot of trips to electrician...things started working fine....good power...
I took it to Nathia Gali in SNOW.....and it performed well with 4x4 operational....
BTW...Next thread will be of that trip....:D...
Again gave it to munshi in village....who returned it with a broken rear differential after 15 days....
Replaced both Front/rear Diffs.... we used diffs of original 1300 cc ones which has a different gear ratio....
it was running fine even better with normal drive but with 4x4 engaged ....used to wobble/pulled to one side /trying to stop...etc.... strange behavior....
I thought that mechanic has bluffed us and not changed front diff......so I asked to dismantle both and show to me....
I counted the teeth of crown/pinion my self and both were same....
there was something wrong with the front diff...
any how replaced it and at the same time replaced the transfer box as well to avoid any further future hassle....(used 1300 cc)...
then new tyres......and now its running great....

Rehman Bhai is very busy with close relatives from abroad, and he does not find any free time. We had planned a trip to Kallar Kahar for overnight stay with families, but it had to be canceled due to his preoccupation with family matters.

Please give him time. He really enjoys being with his younger brothers .. be patient

So tightening the check nut as a preventive measure....
