Pressure build up in radiator but temp remains lower (cool)

Dear fellows, I replaced 2 days before my G-11 Charade radiator new (aluminium made) and new cap (local made of SNA). Soon after the replacement, blown gasket symtons were evident like daylight and yes it a bad gasket, replaced.

Now I am seeing only tiny bubbles in small amount. Problem I am facing, the radiator still builds excess pressure. Even you open up the cap after overnight, the pressure still there that the water spells all our the place. The thing is that the temperature is not rising at all and system remains cool, it is just the pressure making me worried.

Is it the new rad cap which could be faulty.

for a quick test, remove the cap on dead cold engine, place it back and lock it, start the engine and wait 30 seconds and then open it up, if there is pressure in the system, the headgasket is leaking compression into the cooling system.

For correct analysis you need to use a cooling system pressure tester.

Car have t.valve? If mechanic has removed it the car will run with dead cold engine even with minor leak in gasket

If there is a thermostat valve, get it checked.

Yes, it is a headgasket issue and is most probably due to no-head-facing before installing new gasket. The quick check you mentioned is giving different results each day, at first day there was no pressure, second day there is and so on, so the extra pressure is building on n off. I am going for head facing in order to have a proper solution.

As stated above either I will get these resolved, head facing, T.valve installation with proper auto fan cooling system or replace the current engine (as the current factory fitted has already lived its life) with a new good one (off course used ones aka Kabli).

Don't go for facing head if head is fine head is faced only when head is wrapped BTW cb series engine are rock solid engine usually last 500k if maintained so I doubt your engine e has completed it life

I agree with you brother, these engines have proved to be rock solid. In my case I am maintaining this engine since 2009 as I own second hand. During recent gasket work I have noticed 0.50 piston so this engine is overhauled once in his life. Pistons were still in very good nick.

The only issue I am facing with this engine is the heating issue and I am still unable to defeat it completely. I am not allowed to run AC, merely after 10 kms running I have to switch off the AC.

Khair with AC scenario there is lot more to discuss, briefly I am using the light possible compressor these days and that is of which comes with Duet / Passo one.

Recently that is yesterday I had a trip from KHI to HYD and then back to KHI. I had no issues whatsoever. I used old radiator cap which is not air tight, small rubber packing (from valve) removed. In running of around 500 kms (without AC), there was no water level drop, no heating issues at all.

Probably means 'warped head' which means the deformed or uneven.

Might be head is leaked or cracked.which is leaking amount of water.

Bro these heads got cracks and which can not be seen from naked eye better put the complete head and renew it for next 5 years. I did the big mistake put head gasket for 3 times repaired my head but all wasted. Then yesterday i installed qabli head and.its giving me best results no heatup nothing. Better go to shersha buy another head . Polish the wall clean it put the new valves seals and.install it instead of surfacing old head which will not resolve your issue
