The Parsifal series was the Benz answer to the Daimler Simplex models. Premiered at the Paris Motor Show of 1902, the Parsifal lent the Benz marque great prestige. Benz models were popular even in the highest circles and were the firm favourites of Prince Heinrich of Prussia.

Fitted in the original version with a 1.6 litre four-cylinder engine, this open-top car was equipped for some racing events with a 45 hp engine. Light and manoeuverable, the 6/18 scored many victories.
