around 200 k to 250 k i suppose in these days.

Ok i have few questions and i need expert answers:

1) how to check if the engine is good or bad?
2) engine life (mileage and all) ?
3) what to check the engine ?
4) is it worth it (need to put it in civic 1998)
5) what is the future potential for it? Mods?
6) any options to trade in with a stock d16 vti engine? Value?
7) any suggestions? Advice?

dont do the mistake of trading the original engine.
modified cars have no value. when u want to sell it, swap original engine back then sell.

if u dont even know how to check an engine(take a pro along )

I can sell a locally modified as you may call it twice as much price of what's original value is,, if i want to.

you just mixed up the fact who's involved in rebuilding/modifying a car and the level of research involved into doing the project car.

ALL I AM ASKING IS THAT HOW MUCH WOULD THE B18C5 ENGINE COST ALONE? I MY SELF WAS NOT IN FAVOR OF EXHANGING WITH IT AS MY STOCK ENGINE HAS ONLY 75K MILEAGE ON THE CLOCK.

IS IT A GOOD ENGINE FOR MODIFICATIONS? I HAVE A BUDGET OF 230K FOR THE TIME BEING. CAN I GET A GOOD ENGINE AND READY TO START IN THAT CASH RANGE?

b18c5 will be very hard to source and engine alone will be 2lac plus. u will need money for swap and changes to....
i say stick to b16a and mod it if required
