Prius 2007 2nd Gen BCPS replacement. DTC C1377. Capacitor malfunction

I own a prius 2007 2nd generation. Yesterday I scan the car with my bluedriver scan tool and found DTC C1377. Although there is no triangle of death on dash or any yellow brake sign.after some research on google and prius chat I found that C1377 error code is related to auxiliary brake control power supply.

C1377 : capacitor malfunction.

This brake power supply is located beside 12v battery. When you opened your trunk. On right hand driver side you will see a black box along with 12v starter battery. So this code saying there is some problem with BCPS.

Guys I need to ask from you an expert prius electrician in lahore. Which can conform my observation and help me identify the oem replacement module. Thanks.

An error for Booster control solenoid was coming up in my prius after water got into the trunk area. I then sealed off the area and dried the black brake ECU and everything was back to normal. The red triangle was there but went away overnight. Afterwards, when I scanned it again, the error was still there but everything was fine the triangle went away alongwith a yellow ABS sign. The thing is that error remains stored in ECU until you manually clear it. It’s not current error it’s stored error. So I think that your vehicle might have had some malfunction but was somehow fixed and the code wasn’t erased. It’s most probable but not surely the case. I’d advice you to get it checked by a certified mechanic and then take any further steps. Normally people erase it and if the error pops up again, that confirms that the problem is there.
