Prius 2007; Emergency brake,Vsc,Abs,Airbag Lights Illuminated

My car had a accident and in result had replaced Front Right Side axle, tire rod, tire rod end and bll joint(chimta). Accident collapsedthe driver side.

All lights I had listed were illuminated an I got it examined which claimed that joint bush was brusted and grease was all over the rim.

After recovering from the issue, lights still prevailed and after I got it OBD scanned once again, following codes existed,

c1344 hydraulic system malfunction rear left

b1836 open in circuit shot airbag

c143
c144 brake control system failure/invalid

All these issues are regarding rear left side though I ner had any work done onto it.

Now after getting it examined hundreds of times in Lahore as well as Multan(my hometown), the issue is still present and I am sickout of it.

Need some technician to help me out.

Note; Non-Toyota Dealer told me that there are only two options now available, first is to do computerised brake bleeding( prius can't be bleeded manually as no pressure prevails) and if that won't solve the issue, unfortunately I would have to replace brake accumulator pump.

Sure I will get that beake electrohydraulic module retested, btw is it listed on a OBD Scanner ? and does have any orher name or something that I must let my mechanic now ?

in short, most likely your car was accident repaired locally screwed up with local jugars to clear out the errors and alarms before your ownership all errors popped up like stars at night after this accident.

You need to visit a workshop with a scanner tool and settle the issues one by one. some parts, specially the air bag sensors and air-bag(s) in-cabin assembly

Capsat guy, I have been telling you that my Car is examined many times with those specialised OBD Tools and these were the codes we got last time.
Now mechanic is telling me to get brakes bleeded and if even after that that issue sustained, brake accumulater pump would have to be replaced.

I am just asking if really this is the case or any other thing might help too.

the electrohydraulic module is not rebuildable and carefully monitors the brake circuits. If the bleed does not pass - you need to replace the module - please take a seat while you price it out, its price is known to cause people to get shocked.

Being in Pakistan you will obviously look for a used unit, the issue is that the used unit may also be completely rusted out from irregular brake fluid flushing. Try finding one that works.

The SRS unit is seeing a short in the airbag detonator firing squib, you need to do a deeper level scan to test which airbag it is and either inspect the wiring or replace that airbag module.

The car has suffered a shock and a shock can dislodge a number of other wirings and may also damage other components, In your best interest dont drive the car unless everything is sorted out. The brakes on a Prius are not regular master booster and master cylinder.

what you are terming the accumulator pump is not quite valid on a prius as the prius has the assist, hydraulic master cylinder and ABS motor all built into one unit which is bolted to the firewall of the car.

accumulator pump usually refers to the ABS pump which is found remotely mounted from the master cylinder on regular cars.

You can even google it, toyota itself terms this thing as "brake accumulater pump/power brake booster".

yup thats the part - 90% of the times a used one is not usable because Prius are used as mules and donkey carts. If you find one locally then ask the seller that you will only pay if the part tests out correct.

O thank god you intentionally put that finger onto this crap, this can be found between 15/30k locally or any where in Pakistan(from my serches and experience), I am more then ready to pay ATLEAST that much on this ultimate money hugger(Would never go for a hybrid again, they actually don't save you real bucks, atleast not in Pakistan), I though you would quote somewhere in Hundreds of Thousands.

Will blled all brakes first and clear codes, if that won't solve it then would replace this thing. Thanks for you soo much help.

And Bhai, here in Multan, many few(or none) mechanics know how to bleed(Prius Brakes) brakes properly, Is there a way I could DIY ?

the test before pay is the equal of saying.

chalnay ki grantee.

meaning you install it, connect techstream, make the system self bleed. If all goes well. you are good, otherwise you get your money back.

btw - a new replacement for this is more than 100,000.

Sure will do the same, no actually its the cost of pump and labour which isn't a pain for me(we have are own mechanics and workshop, we be transporters )
