Prius 2007 Weird Smell

Aoa.
A few days ago I was travelling from Peshawar to Mardan via M1 Motorway and there was this guy in the fast lane who won't change his sides even after I gave him a thousand dimmers so I had to change lanes and overtake him. I was at 110km/hr and during overtake I applied sudden acceleration and reached around 140km/hr. Anyways, during that sudden acceleration I smelled as If something is burning, as if there's a short circuit or something.
That smell went away once I dropped my speed.

Any idea what could've caused this. And to my fellow Prius Owners, have you experienced this????

It may be for the 1st time since manufacturing this hybrid vehicle has been throttled wildly to touch 140 kph. if you still feel anxious curious please visit a workshop get the vehicle scanned. till then stay safe drive safe.

I hardly cross that 120km/hr barrier but either way I don't find this reason compelling why my car should produce such smell.

There's is a check light that appears every now and then. But its related to Catalytic threshold, quite common in 2nd Gen Prius. Could that be it?

I had the same problem with my 2010 prius when push it above 130 it started smelling weird , it is because the engine is old and it starts burning engine oil at high speed and revs. I had to change the engine block because it was consuming engine oil very quickly.

@Azamjan1993 engine oil shall be 0W-20 or 5W-30 for your vehicle engine.
Please visit a workshop which can scan the vehicle and pull any error codes. fix without reset juggar. only use new parts if needed.

That could be it cz the current reading on my prius is around 2lac 80thousand.
