hello every one i have managed change the language of prius 3rd gen MID(meter) from japanese to english the proccess requires dissassembly of dash and removal of meter if anyone wants to get theirs converted in karachi hir me up at

i am currently a student and did this project out of curosity and allhamdulliah succeded next goal changing aqua TFT display from jap to english
I currenlty reqiure a meter for experiment purposes if anyone has broken or somewhat damaged aqua TFT meter they can also contact ..

Nice, so you basically read the eeprom contents of english cluster and wrote it to the jdm cluster. Did it disturb the odo reading?

@pwuser152052365915 UK models shipped out of Thailand have an option to convert / switch between 6 languages.

I'd prefer to discuss in open thread if you have converted a JDM cluster into English without any component removal. I'd like to know the 12 digit Alpha numeric code over the cluster housing you have worked upon.

I was thinking that OP should post some pics to back his claim because this marvel is unheard of (for me at least).

As far as getting a partially broken speedometer is concerned one can easily find in scrap yards.

This is not a marvel, many people are doing it, just like they reset the airbag ecu by rewriting the crash data

And the tft meter he is looking for, it came in quite few select aquas only, expensive even in japan junkyards

The whole dash has to be opened, and wires soldered on eprom chip inside the speedo, as long as job is done with care, its almost safe. But like any surgery, mistakes can happen

So this is job of an expert. Here technicians can't handle basic level work. That's why I was calling it a marvel.

yes your correct i have now collected over 30 files and also there is some checksums issues that i have to clear sometimes i have now started to provide this service also
