muddling with german cars is fun - if you have the right tools for it. namely a working SDS.
the cars requiring SDS to repair are more like a computer with wheels, doors etc etc. Once you get it and have access to a lift and have proper tools - NOTHING beats the reliability of MB.
The older ones, W124, W201, W140 are also pretty neat but require lengthy diagnostic procedures, the common factor with all models whether late or old is NEVER to use cheap counterfeit parts on them, unless you like to burn money.
For DD in Pakistan buy a standard corolla/civic etc, keep it in tip top shape by utilizing the local availability of all kinds of spares for them. This wont be possible with the JDM orphans that are flooding the Pakistani market (read as junk cars)
